MTN data rate are expensive because ncc made it so. MTN can choose to make it cheap since they enjoy large economies of scale but it will be thwarted by the regulatory body because other operators may not be able to compete favourably with them. To ensure fair advantage, some policies are being put in place to regulate how much these operators charge. Glo isn't left out in the struggle because they can afford to sell 4gig for N1,000 but other operators can't with the exception of Glo mobile

Exactly, Glo, airtel or 9 mobile can't compete with them, where I get like 40-180kb/sec on Glo, I get 800kb/sec-1.23mb/sec on mtn and at night I get up to 2.30mb/sec.

They are leading in terms of call and data.

If i try to call with my Glo line, I'll have to try the number 3-4 times before it goes through unlike mtn which is once.

MTN is that fast because the subscriber load has reduced
