                           Episode 32


It was three weeks gone , Lina's dad  was getting better , yesterday , some bandages were removed , then the police came for statement in other to carry out the investigations regarding the kidnap , they paused  the investigation because Lina's dad wasn't so strong to speak frequently .

I was staying with Lina as the mom instructed  , some times our friends do sleep over , but Susan who stays with her parents has never slept over for once .

Monday , Lina had arranged with the doctor that will conduct the surgery on my dad's leg .

"Hello , good morning dad " .. I greeted him

"Morning my son , how are you ?" ... He said .

"I am fine , what about you ?" .. I asked .

" I am fine , what about senator maxwell " ..
"He is responding to treatment dad , what about mom ?"

" she is fine , what about melina " .. He asked like an already father in law.

"She is fine " ... "Um!!"

"What is it my son " ..

" the driver is coming to pick you dad , we will get the surgery done today , just get ready , I am sure he will be there in minutes , I am sorry its so sudden " ... I said expecting tons of questions but I was prepared to leave him to a bootless inquisition.


" How , why , who is footing the bills ?" .. He asked .


" will you get prepared already , and stop asking questions " .. I said out laughing .

"Uhmmm okay " ... He replied unlike him .


I still had the number of the driver that drove us the last time , so instead of going to pick him , I called the driver to go pick him .


"He is coming right " ... Lina asked as she walked in to the sitting room from the kitchen .

"Uhm yes " .. I said checking her out in her bum short and a singlet and no bra .

" when you are done checking me put , you follow me to the dinning , I made us break fast " ... She said with a smirk

" I wish I can say that I am checking you out , but you ain't lucky enough " ... I said sardonically

" how comfortable are you with that lie " ..  She said and coming close .

I was lost in words, looking at her defines lost and lust .

She came so close , her scent taking my breath away .

Her mouth so close to mine , I closed my eyes , vibrations .

" open your eyes Mr man " .. She said and she started laughing so hard .

" what!!? ! Lina !" .. I shouted as she raced to the dinning and I followed her .

" fried eggs and plantain " ..... She said as she sat .

" yummy !!" ...
I sat opposite her .

We didn't go to school , we went to the hospital , to give them food , and then we went to the supermarket to check on sales , we have been the managers for the few weeks .


At 2pm , dad arrived .

"Good afternoon sir " .. I heard Lina say as she opened the door .

" my daughter " .. I recognise his voice .


I stood from the seat I was sitting ,I headed to The door , I collected the bag from the driver and paid him off .

We gave him food to eat while we headed to the  to the room get prepared .

In thirty minutes , we were done . and then we used Lina's car to go on a 1hr30mins ride .

I dont know the place but the hospital read " peter's medical abode " .

A man ,that should be in his Mid thirties was standing in front of the hospital , with a white lab coat .

"Long time little friend " .. He said as he hugged Lina .

"Long time doc " .. Lina replied .

"Hey, whatsup man " .. He stretched for a handshake .

"Good day " ... I said with a smile and shaking his hands


"Bring him here " ...he said ..

We followed behind him to room 10 , a well equipped room.

I helped my dad get him on the bed , and then he said we should be back in 5 hours, that we can stay in the reception hall .

We went to the reception hall , waiting patiently .

My phone rang.

"Henry whatsup " .. I picked up .

" I am cool bro , you guys ain't in school , you guys ain't at home and you guys ain't in the hospital " .. He said .

"ERM we went on a date somewhere , we don't want anyone to know ,we deserve some alone time " ... I covered up immediately .

" Awwwwn Married man "... He cooed me .

We weren't there up to an hour already but we were tired .

Lina slept off already , I was playing games on my phone .

My phone battery died , and then I looked at the clock , and it was 7:30pm , just three hours .

I woke Lina up , I bent and kissed her nose.

" let's go for dinner in any restaurant near here " ... I said to the already waken angel .

"Sure, how long did I sleep" .. She asked .

"Two hours " .. I pointed at the clock .

"Ohh , let me use the toilet , I need to wash my face too " .. She said as .

She went to the toilet . and the back in ten minutes and then we went out in search for dinner .

"What do I offer you" ... The waiter asked .

" I want a need burger and a yoghurt " .. I turned to look at Lina who nodded  . " get it two " ..

We waited and then we were served .

We entered the next store to get provisions for my dad , the doctor said he can leave after a week , but he will give us directions on what to do .

When we got back , it was already five hours .

We went straight to the room , we saw my dad smiling .

"How are you dad" .. I asked .

" I am fine , but who is footing this bill " .. He asked .

"Get well first sir , you are worrying to much on your sick bed and that is real bad for health " .. Lina said .

"Okay" .. He said but he still wanted to ask .

We stayed with him throughout the night , then we got a nurse and paid her extra for a special attention .

We left  very early the next morning so that we will be able to catch up with school , friends and visiting Lina's dad in the hospital so that nobody knows .

Exam was in few weeks , and we needed to buckle up , we started studying together, we were going to help each other out .
