What Nigerians don't understand is all fingers are not equal, that you can afford Samsung, LG, HTC and co and others can't should not make u condemn the other. 82% of phone users in Nigeria only use it for Whatsapp, Fb, Calls, Snap etc can Techno and Infinix do that? i think yes. so if you can afford Samsung buy your Samsung while those that can afford Techno please enjoy your techno.
you forgot porn..

Comparing your pocket to others, how many digits your bank account balance can count?

Do you have up to 000, 000.00 as at now you are reading this? No? OK, you are now blaming product like itel, infinix and tecno, if not for their mission to help masses to at least meet the standard and up-to-date with the digits of your pocket and book balance can you afford those expensive phones that are serving the same purpose with products like itel and others?

Please note that phones can not be defined by the size, price, and their years of existence but by how impactful their presence in such environment have been to the consumers.

Where is that pinging-pinging Blackberry today?

Can you remember how many people that have lost their lives because they want to have the then BB, some were disgraced because they want to use a big phone or should will go and rob before we can afford an android phone?

Comparing Itel, Tecno and Infinix to some so called Exynos chipset Phones like Samsung, HTC, Sony that serve the same functions with different targets is like wasting your money.

If you are not aware of itel recently launched phone, the phone with the latest Google GO version Oreo 8.1 with fingerprint scanner, Itel A32F with just N20,500 only, go and compare its features and specifications with your so called useless phones and price and then judge so let me know the differences.

Just In case you don't know, those brands with with high price are nothing but cheaters.

BadBradley:
Transsion Holdings, Perhaps being the only GSM mobile manufacturing company that operates in 3 different brands, Tecno, Itel and infinix in the world, apparently in a bid to have the proverbial nine lives and seemingly seeking to take advantage of the underdevelop world, this company has launched an aggressive market campaign across Africa and other poor region of the world where consumers and experts don't have the expertise to critically appraise its products' features and claims.

It's surprising how the Chinese company failed to make its presence in China its home country with a huge market of over 1.2 billion people but came to Africa whose entire population doesn't quite measure up to China and whose political and economic stability is less predictable than China's.

A company that rarely, if ever, uses the chipset of world leaders like Qualcomm or Exynos on its phones or, the screen protective layer from global standards setter, Corning, or the class leading mobile screen technology like Amoled or LCD 3, it is no wonder no reputable mobile phone website ever lists Tecno, Infinix or Itel amongst items for review.

Worse still this is a brand that can't handle large storage Micro SD card of 64 to 126gb without dragging its fluidity down or shutting down the phone. This is a company that doesn't have its own ecosystem or backup services or cloud storage like other Android manufacturers like  LG, Samsung, HTC, Sony, etc

The listed pixel count at the back of camera doesn't reflect the quality expected and non-Adroid models have the exact same UX and UI of clone, fake phones that immitated Nokia Series 30 and 60 phones back in 2005 and 2006 across Africa.

To cap it all up, Tecno which has more customers in Nigeria than the entire population of Ethiopia has chosen to set up a manufacturing plant in Ethiopia while targeting the market here in Nigeria.

So Nigerians will be paying more to get their subpar Tecno, Itel and Infinix phones while indirectly growing the economy of Ethiopia.

Perhaps its battery life is a strong selling point but again, what's the use of a long lasting battery without exciting features to power?

Is he really confused?! I will say no.
In market research and consumer behaviour, there are some process of studying consumer behaviour in purchase decision making, one of it is ;
Psychological Processes - here we have the motivation
Here Maslow's theory talks about HIERARCHY OF NEEDS.
The first need is PHYSIOLOGICAL NEEDS (FOOD,.WATER, SHELTER) this is common to all
Every consumer has different types of need.
Another need is ESTEEM NEEDS (SELF ESTEEM, RECOGNITION, STATUS)
For purchasing an Apple iPhone, of cause it has some needs which arise out of necessity but none of the need of purchasing iPhone comes from physiological needs, they are definitely more like esteem needs or self-actualization needs
In essence, most people (70%) that bought iPhone did so because of the brand name and the class the society will place them with the sense of belonging that comes with it.
This is definitely diff from buying a device out of necessity which is based on it functionality to meet certain needs - and this is what brands like itel and tecno stands for, and that is what majority of Nigeria citizens needs.
You can ask an average iPhone user why he/she prefer iPhone to Android, the response will whao you.

Samsung has phones with prices that are student friendly.

this is far from true. I have been using infinix phones since 2015 and I can boldly say it that they have the best battery
laudate:

Infinix is a good device? Since when? shocked The money I wasted buying the last Infinix Note, is still annoying me. Infinix phones often develop battery problems and charging port issues, within the first few months of usage. Go and check....

The reason why Itel even has customers is because a good majority of Nigerians are inherently stupid. They voted in an illiterate as their President. Why won't they buy Itel?.

Itel can't exist in South Africa. That country has good taste. You can't take a phone with products that degrade in months to SA. They won't approve it.

Nigerians are a fan of mediocrity, that's why Itel is having little sales.

angry[quote author=HeyCorleone post=67793866]I have no problem with Tecno or Infinix. I daresay they make good devices these days.

My contention is with Itel. No human being created by God should go a mile near that phone. Itel devices reek of failure and mediocrity in its worst term. the truth is that you have not used any of itel product before you start to talk trash

Its good to bring out what you don't know about so that the ones who know better could educate you.
There is something called evolution. Nothing stays at a point forever in life. Its the time of the three mobile phones including Itel to shine. It had varieties and the affordability is balanced for every cadre of status.
When you are in a whole with many choice options go with your heart.
The companies producing all these Phones have what Nigerians need that's why they make impacts in their sales.

We have best option with itel phones. As well as the others. I have been using itel brands since 5 years. I have used infinix and Tecno and giving them out. We can't produce any phone for now the ones we have is our best.
Thank you the point raiser. Its time for itel to shine more...

Very very stupid thread. So let's say I have 40k and want to walk into a shop and buy a decent phone, @op come and show me the Samsung, HTC or Sony phone that I can buy for that amount. Or must I have 100k and above before I can use a phone?

I know where this thread is going. I know it's leaning thowards xiaomi. But I will say it again, let xiaomi open their offices in Nigeria, let them pay the tax tecno and infinix are paying, let them employ Nigerians, sponsor events etc. That is the only time I will credit them. Yes they make better phones than tecno and infinix at good prices, but that is mainly because their devices are shipped from overseas, no tax is paid. Where was xiaomi in those days when an ordinary man in Nigeria couldn't afford a smartphone?

But unlike u I don't open multiple accounts, I'm not any brand loyalist, I buy whatever suits me. Now who is the f00l here? Keep deceiving urself.
