Buhari is bent on setting Nigeria back at least 200 years before he rests , the petroleum industry bill is there to guarantee the growth of our oil industry and the interests of Nigerians and not to protect the interest of any lifeless fulani minister of petroleum who has done nothing but reduce the NNPC to an anachrone of an organization with structures similar to Usman Danfodios council of ulamas 100s of years ago.

If anyone wonders why Nigeria will never grow only look at Buhari and those who support him.

He doesn't want progress. He doesn't want change. He wants thing the same, looting included; only that he must have power even if others are the ones using it while he sits lifeless watching.

undecided it has always been about power and oil, except they remove the offshore/onshore dichotomy from the bill, I don't see Buhari signing it. The bill would also give DPR the power to collect and remit oil royalty and petroleum tax to FAAC instead of NNPC. After Buhari had strategically positioned himself and his chief of staff Kyari, and Baru as board members of NNPC, and they have started signing hush hush contracts, and remittances have become questionable, he will now sign such bill.... lol, Mr Integrity wouldn't want to wash his dirty linen outside. Am sure Saraki's camp intentionally pushed the bill to him, so that Nigerians can see Mr integrity for who he really his

u know the issue with most of these people called nigerians, they are so full of hatred, they are cunny, they hate to hear the truth.....i've come to realise that be it babangida, obasanjo, buhari, jonathan et all are not the real problem of this country butttttt the very person u see every morning when u look at the mirror......95% of us in this nation are hypocrites, we are not yet ready to move forward as a nation...we don't know what we want yet, so many people dosen't even understand exactly what is going on or happening, all they know is to come on here nag n drop derogatory comment......if they like, they should go and gather all the world best president to come n rule nigeria.....i promise u there still won't be an outstanding results n most people won't be satisfied.....so many nigerians need serious re-orientation.....

Buhari is always right
Those who oppose him are dead wrong
I only asked you a question and you cant give a reason on why the decision was wrong?
You dont even know what the bill is all about and you are opening your filthy mouth passing words from your hateful heart against someone that you dont even understand what he did. I weep for this country.
You better let your brain be in operation and let to think for yourself and stop following the crowd.

We can't make headway with the way government is runned in this country. We got to start thinking of restructuring if we ever want to make a meaningful progress. That is true FEDERALISM.

Restructure the country, you fix our leaders.
Fix our leaders, you fix the followers.
Fix the followers, the country is FIXED.

Jpphilips, straight-shooter cum petroleum industry guru, Buhari messed up this time didn't he?

Not exactly, first of all, he didn't reject it for the sensational reason the press brandished, balkanizing the NNPC as suggested in the PIGB will make a mess of consolidated revenue of the republic, an issue that has led to governors refusing their allocation for 2 months in a row.
If NNPC functions as a company, then like every company it will have to be keeping most of the funds it generates, ref (section 162 of the 1999 constitution). So a PIGB that will work is one that government gives up the NNPC, you really expect Buhari to sign that? grin grin
