It is common knowledge that Government has no business in meddling with football affairs, especially to the extent of suspending its National team from international competition for two years. With this move, Jonathan acted as though the Super Eagles belongs to him rather than to millions of soccer-loving Nigerians. He has also shown that he has bad judgment, for he could have easily dissolved NFF administration without withdrawing the National team from international competitions. Furthermore, if his purpose is to improve the standing of Super Eagles in international competitions, does he not realize that going two years without competitive football--or possibly four years or more, if FIFA suspends Nigeria because of Govt. interference- will damage the Super Eagles's brand globally, and the players will be understandably rusty for a while because of such prolonged absence from international competitions.

What makes Jonathan different from Abacha, with respect to the harm he caused the Eagles when he withdrew them from the ACN? There are also other more pressing issues other than football that are more deserving of presidential attention, but no, instead of focusing on how to fix the dilapidated and embarrassing state of Nigeria's infrastructure, Jonathan is diverting way too much energy to football. Abeg, Mr. Jonathan, is this a sign that you will bring "badluck" to Nigeria? I think it's time to take a second look at the man whom many Nigerians had prematurely bestowed the title as Nigeria's savior. After all, his judgment on this football issue may show why he is not the right man to transition Nigeria from her current state to the place where she deserves to be.

Rubbish. Who the hell is FIFA to dictate how Nigerians play football? To hell with them.
If we aren't happy with what we've got, what is FIFA's bloody business? Will disbanding our own NFF amount to cheating, or just what is their rationale for pocking their corrupt noses into the affairs of sovereign countries? It is high time a nation took them to court for dramatic wing clipping.

I can tell you what FIFA is trying to protect with this crap attitude, it is their internal corruption and lifetime egunje jobs. . . Anybody remember a CAF president outside Issa Hayatou? No, the man has been president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) since the stone age! That is the sort of thing FIFA is protecting with its overbearing attitude. Rubbish.

It is only one of those misplaced priority, overly passionate fanatical football fans of today who go ahead adopting foreign clubs that are as far as the north pole as theirs that can exhibit this kind of thoughtlessness that GJ has just exhibited.I am not surprised though,just as I thought that we are beginning to see some glimmer of change in Nigerian governance,the ghost of the past presidents that have always left us worse than they met us is beginning to pop up in GJ.Are we the only country that exited disgracefully? What about France and England? what have have the governments of these countries done to correct the anomaly? If GJ Jonathan thinks that he can extend the lawlessness that is inherent in the blood of those that rule Nigeria,He should be reminded that FIFA is an international organization that does not permit such and that Nigeria is too minute when it comes to decision making in football.For the future of the hundreds of youth whose soccer career being an alternative the lack of other viable source of employment,I hope he realizes himself and reverses that unwarranted,silly decision.However,if he refuses,I will support a FIFA ban of 10years for anything soccer as regards to Nigeria so that the pains of this mad decision will always live with Jonathan.He should learn that a leader does not rule with emotions or anger but should do what is right and follow laid down rules.

Both France and England have recieved similar warnings by those jumped up urchins in FIFA. You need to research before spitting.
