So they had no awareness that the 14 days ultimatum giving to the federal government has elapsed and strike action can be taken between Thursday to Friday.
They should blame themselves for their ignorance.

Your comment shows you are not marry yet. When you want to get married legally they give you 21 days notice in fact the picture of the couples are displayed for 21 days so what it means is that the couples have been waiting for 21 days even before NLC gave notice of strike action

This is how you know kids on nairaland. You exhibit your ignorance openly. In the registry, you are given 21 days after you have filed and filled all forms. So, it has nothing to do with them not knowing but the date given to them by the registry.

A couple were disappointed to day after they couldn't legally get married because of NLC strike which began today.

According to the man who spoke to BBC, they got to the venue by 6:15am this morning but weren't allowed inside.

Have you ever done legal wedding before? It's obvious you ve not. Does someone wake up in the morning and just proceed to do legal wedding? It takes some weeks before you can fix a date for it, if you don't know.

.. Even if person must watch nollywood at least there must be balance in it. U watch film small then u also get current on the happenings of the country. E don tey small wey NLC dey sing for news dat dem go soon go on strike so its surprising dese couples no even know when the news is all over the tv,radio and social media. Na wao cheesy
