Ambode should take a deep breath. He has tried pleading with the emperor who seems implacable. The only option open to ambode is to be a man. Nowhere in Nigeria has a sitting governor been denied a second term run by his party. So the option open to ambode is to fight hard and fierce. Fight dirty very ugly if necessary. Ambode should appreciate the enormity of the powers of a governor. It is a glaring insult for the state's local government chairmen to owe sole allegiance to the emperor and openly denigrate the governor. Therefore ambode should do the following:

1. Ensure control over the judiciary especially that he trusts the chief judge otherwise change him. The chief judge is a key player in impeachment proceedings

2. Secure the support of key national party chiefs including buhari, el rufai, fashola, IG of police. Get close to chief of army staff. Then make effective use of the state commissioner of police to thwart any shenanigans by the house of assembly. In fact shut down house of assembly till further notice.

3. Fight the emperor with all might. Revoke his numerous C of Os, cancel alpha beta contract, burn down mysteriously TVC, RC, The Nation, expose all about alpha beta. Cancel contracts with hitech construction company and LCC. Remove Tinubu's daughter as head of the markets.

3. Refuse the direct primaries nonsense, insist on indirect primaries and forcefully take charge of apc organs in the state. Note that Tinubu and fashola were not subjected to direct primaries which are fraught with fraud since there is no fool proof register of APC members.

4. Sack all political appointees with dubious allegiance including sanwo olu and replace them with bold and brave loyalists ready to fight bloody grassroots battle.

5. Dissolve the local government chairmen and appoint loyal caretakers to take charge of all organs. Find and equip these caretakers adequately for battle.

6. Infliterate the house of assembly members through similar or bettet offers than the emperor makes

7. Align with other adversaries of the emperor in the South west such as akeredolu, ajumobi, amosun. Align against APC in osun state

8. Be prepared to cause APC to lose Lagos state rather than be disgraced.

9. Package g wagons for the obas in Lagos state and get many to your side.

10. Employ and deploy a deft and deadly media team to fully expose and embarrass the emperor constantly.

All these actions will create so much rumpus in the state APC that the national body will become so alarmed that they would send crisis management or reconciliation forces giving you the opportunity to extract concessions including security of your second term run. Your profile as the David beating goliath will be established eternally in the state. Then you would have saved the state from the mouth of the ogre.

Your type can never be trusted. Few months ago, Ambode was the best performing governor in Nigeria. What changed. It's nothing but the resident evil hypocrisy and betrayal in you.

IF terrible leaders like Yahaya Bello of kogi are coming back what is Ambode's sin

They might end up begging Ambode to come complete his tenure i don talk am before.

This kind fight of nothing to lose favour Ambode well well...Tinubu has got it all to lose...it's as simple as ABC...we call it roforofo fight...

If i no fit eat from the plate of rice, i go pack sand put for the plate pick race go hide...wetin concern me...

Tinubu's overbearingness is set to usher in his demystification.

The moment he overplays his importance in the scheme of things, watch th federal tell him off with his greed and begin the process of unbundling him. I trust Oshobaba mouth....

Remember Fashola doesn't have him in the best of his books either, so the battle is definitely going to be much for him to face on different fronts.

He's human after all and is susceptible to slip due to over-estimating his stranglehold and control. This might just be how the cookie begins to crumble..

Hunger dey make people forget their birthright dey dobaleee for you dey shout 'We loyal saah' you think say dem like you or dey happy with you...

All this is nonsense. Ambode is not a politician as politics is a game of chop I chop and if you chop alone you die alone... All this people that op is mentioning are the real people behind his downfall as Ambode didn't allow them to "chop" during his tenure. Am sure you saw the video where the local government chairmen also complained that they were not able to get access to him for 6 months... If Ambode has been a good man I'm definitely sure people will rise up and stand with him especially people in his cabinet and even fellow party politicians. But reverse is the case as I can't really see anybody standing by him apart from few rumours coming out that the presidency still want him. And who is this "presidency" itself if not the likes of Tinubu and Co that brought buhari into power.
Re: Opinion: What Ambode Must Do Now To Remain Relevant. by aremuforlife(m): 12:33pm On Oct 01, 2018
You forgot that, those he want to fight have been through those stages, and they have more loyalist in under his own cabinets. These are the same set of people that brought him in against other people's wish and you are now advicing him to attack them by bringing down his own roof upon his head just because he was refuse another ticket for 4 years. Then he should have avoided this from unset and not now "TO BEFORE WARNED IS TO BEFORE HARM" because I believed he might have been called to order but he was intoxicated by power and he forgot his source. Tinubu did not fight the people that brought into power but he pace way and stand on his own because he has different ideology with them. Then Ambode should test his popularity by creating his own party or use the window transfer when is still open.

Ladoja went to OBJ who was the President that time and OBJ told Ladoja in the public that he should go and make peace with the party at state level.. Same thing happened in Anambra state when the Ubah's were on Ngige's neck...

95% of these suggested chess moves will still go through the state assembly. And believe you me, the next eight months thereabout of the Governor will be war with the assembly. That is the only tool within the system that can bring the governor to a stand still. My opinion please.
