Senator Abubakar Sodangi, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said it will be a difficult task for Atiku or any politician to defeat President Buhari in 2019.

Sodangi, a three-term senator who represented Nassarawa West from 1999 to 2011 in a chat with DAILY INDEPENDENT said President Buhari still enjoys wide acceptability and massive followership from the ordinary people in the North who are in the majority.


He also said the relationship between the South- West led by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the North, led by President Buhari is still very solid and so it will be easy for APC to win in the region.

“It will be a very difficult task for him because President Muhammadu Buhari is loved by the ordinary people who are in the majority most especially in the Northern part of this country. Go to any local government or ward, Buhari has massive supporters that will be the determining factor of who wins the presidential election at the end of the day”.

“Also, the political marriage between the North and the South- West is still very solid. People like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and all the big shots in APC who are in the South-West are fully in support of President Buhari” .

“Also, with the coming into APC of some prominent people in the South- South and South – East, it will be a herculean task for anybody to come and beat our candidate who is President Muhammadu Buhari” he said.

This is a LIE. It was sure that Buhari was going to win three months to elections. The man had popularity in SW and sure 12m votes in the North. A lot of young PDP supporters did not understand it because of parochial local mindedness. It was when GEJ postponed elections that they started getting scared. Buhari has won the elections already
