The fact that Nigeria has no development

Doesn't it make sense to allow Igbos to migrate to other parts of the country, if they want too

Isn't the country already dead and boring enough
We need immigration to make the shithole lively

According to court records, it was done to reunite them with their relatives and indigenous homes for better support.

Regrettably it was stopped. The main reason is that the yannnmiriii iii type of Igbo is a social and economic saboteur.

Because there is nothing special about the tribe of a homeless miscreant constituting a nuisance and security risk in Lagos State.

Such homeless and jobless miscreants, after rehabilitation at a state government holding facility, were relocated to other Yoruba states and the North, based on their origins and place of last habitation before they sought refuge under the bridges of Lagos.

Such homeless and jobless miscreants, who could not even give the address of just 1 friend or relative in Lagos State, were also relocated to Anambra state, with Lagos state showing proof that they had officially communicated such transfer of the destitute to Anambra state.

Fashola only did what Peter Obi of Anambra had already done to Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom originated miscreants, and what Akwa Ibom under Akpabio had also done to other tribes and Yoruba originated miscreants.

Only a hypocrite like Peter Obi chose to make tribal politics out of it, so that his then APGA candidate for Anambra governorship, Obiano, would have an easy victory over Ngige of ACN, which Igbos considered a Yoruba party.

Today, same Peter Obi is a pariah to APGA and sworn enemy of Obiano who he helped become governor by whipping up tribal sentiments of hypocrisy.

As fate would have it, same Peter Obi now has to crisscross the country begging for votes and swallowing his previous tribal vomits.

It has failed and it will remain so. It is dangerous politics that may rock the boat and put to danger the cordial and well-respected relationship between Igbo and Yoruba that dates back to 1970, if not properly handled. The chance takers and peddlers of misinformation will fail. In 2011 Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State deported 29 Akwa-Ibom State and Ebonyi State indigenes on the pretext that they were begging in Awka and Onitsha and heaven did not fall. About the same time Governor Orji of Abia State sacked over 3,000 indigenes of Anambra, Imo, Enugu, and Ebonyi States from the Abia Civil Service and sentenced tens of thousands of Igbo men and their families to untimely death, eternal poverty and degradation, yet heaven did not fall.

As at today, Lagos still hosts more Anambra people than Anambra State. Anambra people generate more wealth in Lagos than in Anambra so who loses in the devilish plot to use 14 destitute victims of poor, timid and rural governance in Anambra, who were chased into Lagos to live under the bridges for primitive politics in the end? But, as I said, the Igboman is not foolish and will like to know why a government feels its citizens are better off living as destitutes under the bridges of Lagos than in their home state.

If they are security risk, our lazy police should start working

Government should help them get shelter
And the ones the government can't help Should find some place to live in a ghetto

Small Cameroon has 4 million Igbos living there, why can't Nigeria do the same

‘Deportation’: Fashola offers full response to Obi
Friday, August 2, 2013 7:22 pm

Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has offered a more detailed response to his Anambra State counterpart, Peter Obi as controversy raged over the sending home of some indigenes of Anambra.

It was his second response in 24 hours.

Fashola first corrected the exaggerated number of the people involved. He said they were 14 and not 70 or 72 as being circulated.

Second, his response included past letters to the Anambra state Governor, since April, informing him about the plight of the 14 people, who had indicated their desire to return to their home state, after they were rehabilitated at Majidun Rehabilitation Centre.

Fashola said the 14 people were picked up on the steets of Lagos “as part of a continuous exercise to assist vulnerable citizens who roam our streets without food or shelter and a number who have medical ailments, usually in the nature of mental infirmity”.

“They were taken to Majidun Rehabilitation Centre where they treated, detoxified and restored. Thereafter, it was possible for medical and social workers to interview them.

“In the event, they disclosed that they were from Anambra and sought assistance to go back home”, said the letter.

For those who may be thinking that the decision to send the 14 people home was the sole invention of Lagos State Government, Governor Fashola also included a letter from the Akwa Ibom Government to Lagos Ministry of Women Affairs, repatriating two indigenes of Lagos, who were picked up on the streets of Uyo.

The more reason such people are sent back to their states of origin and state of last residency, seeing that they are not resident in Lagos and without an address.

Their respective state governments can then provide all that you suggested for them there.

Same policy was applied by Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, and a host of other states.

But a certain hypocrite Peter Obi chose to go ahead of himself to ruin his own political future.

The responsibility of Lagos state was sent to it by Akwa Ibom, just as Anambra sent the responsibility of Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom to those respective states. Same unwritten policy was employed by Lagos state by sending the responsibility of Osun, Ondo, states in the North and Anambra, to those respective places.

You mean they came to Lagos because Peter Obi their governor in Anambra state had failed them, as already opined by Igbokwe in the quote below?

But, as I said, the Igboman is not foolish and will like to know why a government feels its citizens are better off living as destitutes under the bridges of Lagos than in their home state.

I would also like to know why you feel they were better off as destitute miscreants in Lagos than to be king in their own state?

How can a human being cherish living under the bridges of Lagos more than his father's house?

The tax paying Lagosian is better off without them, and appreciate the efforts of Fashola to relocate stranded and homeless Nigerians back to a place that is home.

They were also returned home for a reason. The same reasons Anambra returned such people to Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom, and Akwa Ibom returned to Lagos.

For proper home care.

The fact that we are allowed to migrate via the Nigerian constitution doesn't mean we have to, but we migrate because of a better way of life, economic and safety reasons.

You don't leave your home or the comfort of your own environment just to do hard migrant labor, see better opportunities and way of life in other people's land, you do so because your own environment is poor, unproductive and cannot sustain you and your family economically.

Stop hiding under the constitution, your towns and villages are poor, they are unproductive and can not care for you.
