Gosh...depression is not some condition to toy with, it is as real as REAL and a very silent killer.

Just like my kid bro buzzing me last Friday that he was getting depressed and I was the only one he could talk to...I had to switch to my counselling mode and asked him over.

Things are happening. Lets learn to support people around us whenever we can. Some people just need someone to talk to and feel loved.

Look, humans are all different, with different abilities, hardiness, gifts and weaknesses, etc. Nobody has monopoly over knowledge.

The worst you can do is stigmatize those facing such issues currently, and there are very many. They should be encouraged to speak up.

Well, for your information, there are higher number of people from crises regions needing psychiatric help than the usual population.

I know that firsthand in a Western country that has proper psychiatric are generally. The numbers are unusually high from small African countries that suffered civil wars in the 1990s.

It would be same among natural disaster victims. Even the kids but since nobody cares they might just soldier on with issues.
Look at the aggression, crime rate, impunity and all the abnormal occurrences in Nigeria. It should tell you that mental health patients in the society are many. But no help for them.
