The Amuwo Odofin Local Government said on Monday that the Festac Link Bridge which was closed for repairs has been reopened. The government said the bridge was reopened around 5pm today The Executive Chairman, Engr. (Dr.) Valentine Buraimoh said, “The decision to reopen the bridge followed the completion of the test by engineers. “The government applauded motorists and residents for their cooperation and patience while the closure lasted.” It would be recalled that tragedy hit Festac Town in the later part of 2017, as a tanker laden with diesel fell and spilled its content on the Festac Link Bridge in Amuwo odofin local government area of Lagos State resulting in massive damage.
