It doesn't change anything, ekweremadu has pitched tents with buhari. he and other south East Leaders have asked the president that they will deliver their areas for him as long as they are allowed to succeed in their various aspirations.

One thing I get mad about the masses from South East is that they will hardly hold their leaders responsible but will be blaming the man from sokoto and Osun.

Can you see how wicked these leaders of South Easterners are openly sabotaging the effort of Obi? I hereby call on all Ndiigbo to resist plans of these evil men.

Many of them should be stoned to death...

faaz24:
ATIKU’S LIES( PART 1)
Copied.

The Claim:

ATIKU CLAIMS HE RAN THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY AS VICE PRESIDENT UNDER PRESIDENT OBASANJO.

The TRUTH :

2/ Obasanjo did not have an Economic Team until Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala became Minister of Finance in 2003.
3/ In her book, Reforming the Unreformable, 2012, she writes (page cool: “I flew to Nigeria in May 2003 to discuss the scope of my job and to get President Obasanjo’s agreement on the formation of a Presidential Economic Team.
4/ The President readily agreed to the team, noting that I would lead it and he would preside over it as Chair.” On Page 151, she lists the members of the Presidential Economic Team (the original 13 members and the 9 who joined later).
5/ She is listed as “Chair”, Dr Bright Okogu is “Executive Secretary”. Vice President Atiku Abubakar is not on the list. He was neither the Head nor a member of the Economic Team. The facts are available for all to see.
6/ Virtually all of what you might consider the major economic achievements of the OBJ administration – EFCC, Pension Reform, Power Sector Reform & the NIPP, Debt Relief –happened in the administration’s 2nd Term, during which Atiku had no real say in the running of the economy.
7/ By then Obasanjo had seen the true nature of Atiku – disloyal, corrupt and self-serving – and had begun the process of side-lining him. Without Atiku’s strangling hold on the treasury, the economy actually performed better.
8/ Atiku’s biggest role in the Obasanjo 1st Term was as Chairman of the National Council on Privatisation (NCP), which set the agenda and made the decisions regarding privatising state-owned companies (BPE’s role was to implement these decisions).
9/ Atiku’s biggest legacy from that period (the Obasanjo 1st Term) is selling state-owned companies to himself and his friends, many of them serving as fronts for him.
10/ One of the best-known examples is African Petroleum, which he sold to Peter Okocha’s little-known Sadiq Petroleum (Okocha is a staunch Catholic who purportedly ran a company known as 'Sadiq' Petroleum - go figure!).
11/ Within a few years the AP deal had run into trouble, unsurprisingly. The scandals involving Atiku and PDTF/Williams J. Jefferson/NDTV/iGate also happened during the Obasanjo 1st Term…
12/ ...towards the end, to be precise – when Atiku was desperate about amassing funds to challenge Obasanjo to the PDP presidential ticket (more on that penchant for disloyalty later).
13/ Throughout his tenure as Vice President, Atiku’s greatest talent and legacy lay in pursuing corrupt and self-serving deals like these.
14/ The US Senate Report that indicts him notes that between 2000 and 2008 he laundered $40m in stolen funds through US banks, using one of his wives as a front.
15/ The Takeaway:

So, remember, every time he says ‘ATIKU MEANS JOBS’, what he really means is ‘ATIKU MEANS JOBS-FOR-THE-BOYS.’

[Watch out for PART 2 of ATIKU'S LIES]
you just wasted time and space writing rubbish.

The phool you quoted doesn't know that Buhari sef is doing job for the boys. The difference is that Atiku has so many boys across the length and breadth of the country meaning many people will get jobs. This is compared with Bubu who has only a few grandads from Daura

A source said, “He was told that Obi does not have any corruption case against him and that he does not belong to any faction of the party.

“He was also told that Obi’s emergence has further raised the acceptability level of the PDP across the country.”

This is a wonderful credentials, this what Nigerians should be looking for, you think if Obi had any corruption case against him EFCC or APC would not have announced to the whole world, you can see a man running for an election without any skeleton, what APC had on him was that he was a Tribal bigot, which we all handled. My next VP in the making and My Next President after we finish Atikulating.

Ekweremmadu should shut up. PDP would have lost the election even before the election if they had made the mistake of choosing Ekweremmadu.

EFCC would have since pounced on him and mesmerized him due to huge corruption cases against him. Besides that Ekweremmadu has nothing to bring to the table aside being a career politician.

Ekweremmadu is a feather weight politically in the SE, he doesn't have that appeal across Igbo land despite haven been DSP for over 8yrs.

Obi is the new fresh face of the SE

Ok, let me get this straight, so Atiku, a party deserter, came back to win PDP presidential nomination and what does he do, he picks a running mate from another party that is a competitor to PDP. What happened to PDP loyalists? And Atiku thinks they will just be happy about it. Lol, ok, just wait till the elections, PDP loyalists will be the ones who will sabotage Atiku by themselves. But it’s none of my business *sipping my tea*

Obi's former party is not the bone of contention. Events have long ago moved beyond that issue. The SE governors miscalculated, backed another candidate ( Tambuwal / Soludo) and lost out with Atikus emergence. Their opposition to Atiku is to regain lost ground.

Gistpeeps:

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday visited the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, to seek his understanding over the choice of Mr Peter Obi as his running mate.

On the entourage of Atiku were the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, who is also the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus; and the National Organising Secretary of the party, Col. Austin Akobundu (retd.).

It was learnt that the visit was meant to appease Ekweremadu, who had hoped that he would be the natural choice for the position.

It was gathered that the visitors asked for Ekweremadu’s support and explained to him that Obi was picked in the interest of the zone in particular and the nation in general.

A source said, “He was told that Obi does not have any corruption case against him and that he does not belong to any faction of the party.

“He was also told that Obi’s emergence has further raised the acceptability level of the PDP across the country.”

Meanwhile, the party has scheduled its National Executive Committee meeting for Thursday in Abuja.

Our correspondent gathered that the meeting would approve the full composition of the council and also vet its budget for the campaigns.

Secondus confirmed the inauguration of the campaign council to our correspondent on the telephone.

“Yes, we are meeting on Thursday and the campaign will be inaugurated same day,” he said.

Atiku did the wrong thing. simple. buhari consulted Tinubu before he chose his VP, infact tinubu nominated Buhari's VP but Atiku felt he can do as he likes when it comes to SE. He's wasting his time.
If Atiku can refuse to consult the SE leaders now he's a candidate and even refuse their request, is it when he's president that he will?

They better support him.

He's the closest they've had to Aso rock since 1999..

No matter what happens , if either Tinubu, osibanjo or fashola shows interest after Buhari complete his term, I'll vote them...you know why?? They are my kinsmen.

Igbo people should learn how to play politics in an entity like Nigeria.
you just spoke the clear truth of more than an average yoruba man. Even with the VP being a yoruba, the southwest will still vote for Buhari. I expect the IBO's to do a thorough campaign, put all resources together and support Obi. Its no time for "beefing" each other. Let them give thier best shot, if they lose, they lose.
