You did not read the full account. An escort car was following him but they slowed down when the incident happened and reversed in the opposite direction when Badeh was shot - one of the suspects said it.

1, The govt or Abba kyari are not the only possibilities, there are politicians, former and serving military men who are implicated in several arms procurement and defense budget theft that Badeh as CAS and CDS is aware of, he may want to cut a deal to get a lighter punishment.

2, if some of these people are still in the corridors of power then yes he is a threat to the cabal!

3, Mamman Daura and Abba Kyari are known to trade EFCC recovered money for freedom and (or) in this case doing away with the suspect so that the recovered sum can disappear!

I was gonna believe the story until the part that says, "Badeh was broke.." You've gotta be kidding me. Badeh couldn't be broke, man was an exceptional officer and definitely would be too intelligent to be broke, go read his file.

I can tell you categorically that Badeh had no such money. He was very broke and could not pay his domestic staff and power bills. At a time, I volunteered to raise N50,000 to enable him to settle part of the bills, but he declined, saying he would harvest some crops on his farm and sell them to raise money. ....
