Yesterday, 17th of January 2019, had Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senate President, Bukola Saraki, landing in Washington D.C, U.S. As opposed to speculations, the presidential candidate visited the US, to meet with the US Chamber of Commerce, the US Congress, Nigerians in Diaspora and the Business community.

Speculations of a likely US support of an Atiku presidency have been on and out, but the candidate gave life to the speculation when he referenced the huge support he enjoys across the US government, in an Interview in Hausa by VOA’s Aliyu Mustapha. Atiku when asked about the US support for him, stated; “There is no doubt because the United State is ready to support any country that is practicing democracy.”

Recall that the U.S African Mission in a tweet, stated that there are 13.5m out of school children in 2018. What many saw as a normal tweet, was misread by many as a frontal US support for Atiku’s candidacy. Also, considering that the Government of Donald Trump and the policies of Atiku Abubakar all have same free market and jobs outlook to trade and business, this might be another point of meeting between the two.

Furthermore, there is no bigger show of this support than several meetings held by the candidate, with House members in the US, including House members heading the Homeland Security. This will largely boost the chances of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi emerging as the President and Vice President of Nigeria, after the General election, since Nigerians are keen to know if their future president can work well with their biggest trading partners.

those who you saw that came out to welcome the president yesterday are those to decide, not even us here on Nairaland that will not go out and vote rather we prefer to camp a girl on that day ,even some have started planning of a girlfriend to sleep with and booze, the voter u saw yesterday don't even know why atiku went to amelika ,the only armor they carry is their PVC and know that Americans will not come here to vote ,remember Buhari is not Jonathan ......

Atiku will only win on online polls

This clash is BTW Atiku and Buhari, very obvious. We have seen the alarming incompetence of Buhari already and how few are using him in power to amass wealth secretly while still blaming PDP for every failure. CHANGE was a failure then he cannot be trusted with the NEXT LEVEL hence ATIKU is the man for this job

Vote Atiku

Let's see his performance and if he doesn't do well in 4 yeara, send him parking and probably vote for SOWORE or any other young vibrant visionary.

Aso rock is no one family house. Let's stop saying give him another chance. What Nigeria need is competence? Politics is black market in Nigeria

Vote Atiku now

Let's watch his performance

Next Sowore or any other young visionary

God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria

cheesy grin grin Deal done and dusted. The useless APC government will forever regret this foolishness of insisting on an Atiku US visit.

Barrack Obama & John Kerry did same for the dullard in 2015.Hilary Clinton lost.Buhari will also loose to complete the circle.

Do you all think it is a coincidence that a lot of the Northern bigwigs are defecting daily from PDP ?

They have seen the handwriting on the wall and i am surprised that those who claim to be better educated haven't
