Adeboye spits fire: We’ll resist rigging in 2011
By WILLY EYA
Sunday, August 15, 2010

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye has warned against rigging the 2011 general election saying that Christians would fight politicians who try to compromise the process.

Adeboye who gave the warning at the just concluded annual convention of the RCCG enjoined Christians to ensure they all register, vote and be ready to protect it from riggers.
He said that unlike in the past, Christians would not relax and allow the future of the people mortgaged by politicians who would like to compromise the next general election.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), we love you and we will support you but if you ‘dabaru’ our election, we will fight, we will fight”. He cautioned that Christians would not allow the election to be rigged and insisted that compromising the electoral process in 2011 would be resisted.

The revered cleric urged Christians to come out enmasse to vote for candidates of their choice and advised that they should also defend and protect their votes. Addressing the mammoth congregation that graced this year’s convention, he said that God revealed to him that about 14,000 babies would be born in a year but he kept asking for more and was surprised with 54, 000 children.

Some of the dignitaries in this year’s convention includes Governors of Rivers and Ondo States, Rotimi Amaechi and Olusegun Mimiko respectively and the Deputy governor of Lagos State, Mrs Sarah Sosan.
It will be recalled that the Save Nigeria Group had been vocal in asking Nigerians to resist all those who would attempt to rig the next general election.

The group chaired by the Pastor of the Later Day Assembly, Tunde Bakare has been insistent that the people must not only vote but be ready to protect their votes.

Hihgly suspect news just because of its source; sun news! However, pastors need to be more involved in this process. This is because spiritual leaders seem to have the most influence on Nigerians. If they task their followers with being truthful, we will be the better for it.Kudos to Adeboye!

It’s Time to End Election Fraud, Says Adeboye
08.15.2010
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye, yesterday charged Christians to participate actively in the processes leading to a successful election next year.

Adeboye, who gave the charge at the 58th annual convention of the Church at the Redemption Camp, along Lagos - Ibadan Express way, said it was time to put an end to election fraud in the country.

Pastor Adeboye urged millions of Christians at the convention ground to ensure that they register as voters, cast their votes and defend the votes against any form of manipulation.
The Cleric, who said that the votes of the Nigerian electorate must count in the 2011 election, urged the people to be prepared to fight anyone that want to tinker with the outcome of the election.

Adeboye, however did not indicate preference for any particular aspirant, instead, he urged the people to vote for the candidates of their choice. He however said that while the church will continue to pray for the success of the process, it would resist electoral fraud.

The General Overseer said: “ The message is very clear. I urge you all to register for the 2011 election, vote during the election and defend your votes.
“From now on, if anyone messes up with our votes, we will fight,” he added.

A thunderous applause by the congregation greeted Pastor Adeboye’s charge, as the renowned preacher maintained that he was speaking the minds of a vast majority of the people.
The cleric also charged the new leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to identify with the collective wishes of Nigerians for free, fair and transparent election in 2011 and put the country among the list of countries with successful election.

He assured the Prof Atthairu Jega-led commission of the church’s prayer support , but added that the church would not tolerate any fraudulent act under any disguise.

He said, “ Let the message be sounded loud and clear, INEC we love you, we will pray for you, but if anybody rigs the election, we will fight.”

No fewer than 58 political parties have be registered to participate in the 2011 elections, which is the fourth since the country’s return to civil rule in 1999. The 2007 election was adjudged the worst in the country’s history, by local and international observers, even though the 1999 and 2003 elections were also fraught with massive irregularities and fraudulent acts.
Adeboye said Nigeria would move forward with a successful conduct of the 2011 election, urging that everything be done to ensure success of the process.

More predictable crap from the jet-setting king of mass hypnosis, fleecer of the flock, and perennial obstructionist of the Lagos Expressway, Pastor "Give me your loot" Eunuch Adebole.

Presumably, this comical threat to "fight" will entail Eunuch flying low and slow bombing runs over the federal capital in his Gulfstram IV luxury jet, while emptying out the toilet tanks to punish "offenders" with caviar-flavored turds and champagne-scented effluent , direct from the heavens, as it were.

However well his intentions are, I don't think men of God should mix politics with religion. His advice is good, people should register and vote and also ensure their votes count. But to call for mass riots will affect the people negatively. People will be shot and he will suffer for that.

But the lord we worship is stronger than humans, I believe that if he goes on his knees and calls on the name of God to save our nation, the lord will answer. We should pray more and not oppose politicians. Why not Adeboye obtain a ticket and run? Sounds like a good ides to me!

Ezeuche you make me laugh, that Nigerians do not have the courage to riot! . Nigerian have more courage that people in the USA or canada when it comes to riot.  They take everything over here. You see the USA or canada or germany embassy, nigerian can take it over and kick out the staff and the government of Nigeria cant do anything. Do you know who own the land.? not the nigeria govt. In nigeria law, the govt of nigeria does not own the land.

Here the union is weak. They cant remove the prime minister. In nigeria the union is not weak. They can remove the president. Look I told you, Gani fawehinmi step mother gave me my name. He calls a general strike, all over 100 million nigerian sit at home for months.  Can anybody do that in Canada or the USA. The way the gas price raise over here. look if it dare raise the same way in Nigeria, they kick out Jonathan in 48 hours. what are you talking about.

They are gentlemen and women over here.  I think one of the reason may be the way the democracy is set up. In nigeria the politician steal money and do not fight for people right. Over here Steven harper thinks twice before he does anything in Quebec.
Every politician over here want Steven harper job. So if steven harper makes a big time mistake, someone would use it against him and take his job.

Do you think this man look like the man who take shit1 from you.  Politician over here are the only one who can use the F word ( F you)  in parliament and still get paid salary the next day over here. Because politician in Nigeria have failed the people, the people have no choice than alway take the law into thier own hand and make change in nigeria.

This is Dalton McGuinty, he has only one dream, and it is getting steven harper job,

They do. Nigerians have rioted before and can do it again but seem to be losing the capacity to do so by the day. Nevertheless, you still cannot rule out spontaneous riots in Nigeria.

I doubt if there is any country in the world where prayer alone, not matched by words/action like this, has done the trick. Against this backdrop and given the present inclination of many Nigerians to religion, and the followership of RCCG, this call is in order.

Look in Nigeria, if you take a man child or kill a man child or do anything that lead to a man child. He would cut off your head and get away with it.   if he refuse to cut your head off, His ethnics group would cut off your head. Do those people have courage to riot?  while dont you go and take a nigerian child. And see if they would not pick up children from your country in Nigeria. The nigeria govt would tell you, they are investigating, it would take 50 years for you to find your children and 50 years for nigeria govt to investigate. I am telling you your president would have to physically go to Nigeria and return thier children , the nigeria people would return your child. do you still think they  have the courage to riot

You must ask yourself , why do you think Obasanjo lost his street, his ward, his local council, his senatorial area, his state, his ethnics group. And his friend could not rig it for him.  It is because they know what would happen to them? do you still think nigerian have  courage to riot.

Go and touch thier children and  osama bin laden would look like  childplay. You want to stay clear of thier politics. If you are president of a country and the nigeria govt or president of nigeria ask for a favour, stay away because you risk your own country people life. it is not worth going into fight with nigerian. They would finish you.

This is why I have been asking for the removal of edo, delta Yorubas and know what it may lead to a civil war. you can see what  Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab did, you dont want to get Canada or the USA in a fight that is not thier business. stay away from other people fight.
Re: Rig Elections In 2011 And See Us Riot-adeboye by becomrich3: 6:56am On Aug 16, 2010
Just to correct you buhari never plan a coup in 1983. The coup was plan because they rigged the 1983 election in Yorubaland. It was a Yoruba man Tunde Idiagbon and his friend Bako that planned the coup and overthrow the govt. When they attacked the presidential house in abuja. Bako got killed , but because of the way nigeria works. It was difficult for Tunde Idiagbon to become head of state not to create problem , since it was going to be seen as an ethnics coup. it took them the whole night to get replacement. nigerian waited for long to know who? That night they went to bring Buhari to become head of state. Buhari was a replacement for Bako.

That account for why Tunde Idiagbon was in control of the govt.

muritala coupist
Colonels Ibrahim Taiwo (Yoruba), Olusegun Obasanjo(Yoruba), Lt. Cols. Shehu Yar'Adua(Umaru brother), Ibrahim Babangida ,TY Danjuma.

Muritala pretend that he was going to london. He went to london days before Gowon went to OAU meeting. On the night of the coup. He return back and land at the kano airport. before they move him to radio nigeria lagos. So beaf, do you think we can get justice. ?

So beaf of the 9 coup that nigeria had. 4 out of 9 had Yorubas involve.   Only 1 coup in Nigeria had Igbo and only 4 had mostly northerners.

If I remember very well, On that day Buhari was not in lagos, he was in Jos. And at 9 pm Tunde Idiagbon voice came on air and said, the president was going to talk to the nation, which never happen. And it was very late in the night that Buhari came on. may be about 12 or 1 am.  But they could not present a head of state initially, they had none. They had to go and bring buhari from Jos.

Colonel Tunde Ogbeha was one of the coup plotter in 1983. most northerner officers only join mostly after the coup was success. It was abacha who came on air first.

Colonel Tunde Ogbeha (senator). Senator Tunde Ogbeha and Ibrahim Bako went into the presidential palace . One of shagari bodyguard  killed Bako.

even if you look at the muritala coupist. muritala wife is yoruba.
Colonels Ibrahim Taiwo (Yoruba), Olusegun Obasanjo(Yoruba), Lt. Cols. Shehu Yar'Adua(Umaru brother), Ibrahim Babangida(wife western region). ,TY Danjuma(wife western region).

they did not have to make muritala head of state. even muritala plane could not land in kano. because there was coup going on. all airport have been closed by the coupist. So they could have turn back the plane. They granted the plane special permission to land, because they knew it was muritala that was inside the plane. muritala wife is yoruba. Ajoke.
So when you people say yoruba never did any coup before, you are wrong. They just allow the northerner to head the govt.

senator Tunde ogbeha is yoruba, bako was killed, tunde ogbeha I think was the one who over power the presidential guard . that was why they were scared of him after the coup and send him outside nigeria. buhari was never in the coup. buhari was the one that mostly brough in the northener officer after the coup. Tunde Idiagbon never laugh. So keep account of history correct. You can see yorubas allowed buhari and muritala to head the govt after coup. not to create problem.

it tell you yoruba are a peaceful people. Of the 4 northern coup. 2 of the coup failed, vasta coup and dimka coup. so 2 coup out of 9 coups in nigeria 2/9. So what I am trying to tell you is that it would be difficult to rig election in Yorubaland. So remove edo, delta Yorubas from nigeria.

Ajoke muritala(yoruba)
