He already admitted that this can be entered as evidence against him in court and that he was not under any duress when writing it.

You guys don't know anything I swear... The CCB law says when you admit there was a mistake and corrected it as Mr Onnoghen has done since 2016, the case can not be referred to the CCT because he has been exonerated. Do you guys really understand your laws at all?

(i) the code of conduct act allows anyone to make an additional written statement on the assets that were not declared in the forms. Once that is done, the act says the person SHALL NOT be referred to the tribunal. And that's exactly what onnoghen did by declaring those accounts in WRITING. Why was he referred to the tribunal?

(ii) the amounts quoted in those accounts are actually the TOTAL TURN OVER on the accounts not that the physical cash is there. They are releasing information in a wrong way to tarnish the man

(iil) the man has explained in his code of conduct forms the businesses he is into to get that money. He noted he was in private practice before coming into to the bench. He mentioned forex trading etc. It is instructive to note that the government has not accused him of fraud or stealing. Note our vice president was a university lecturer then a commissioner but he has close to a million dollars, close to 100 million Naira, houses in banana island and shares in mtn. Onnoghen has been in private practice before the VP and no one yet has said he stole money. So why resign?

There for if the issue is that of declaration, code of conduct act ( look at section 3 below) has covered the man well

I hope you are aware the CCT has bolted and Buhari is now on his own .. You people don't get it's not about guilt now but about if Buhari has any such powers to suspend the CJN? and he clearly has none !!!

He also admitted on this form that he had no companies and enterprises.

This means he has no means of defending the monies so far found in the many accounts linked to him

How was he able to have over 1.3 billion in untouched funds without any business or enterprise generating them?

You can as well ask why Onnoghen postponed the meeting of the NJC indefinitely? Was the postponement for selfish interest or for the interest of the judiciary? Every action of the president so far whether right or wrong lies within the ambit of constitutional provisions.

You seem to be ignorant of a lot.

He admitted to not declaring some of his assets by virtues of forgetfulness.

He never corrected the said assets which he first declared.

If he did, there would be no need for all this brouhaha.

In his own writing he admitted this and you still want to say nonsense?

Are you aware what the law says about when a public officer misses to declare some asset on his asset declaration form? The Law specifically says the public officer be issued a new form to update his assets as long as they are not from proceed of public office corruption

Even at that, more assets have been found linked to him directly which he still "forgot" to declare.

Even the standard chartered bank account he claimed that he did not declare it because he thought it was not opened, monies were found in it.

How can there be money in an account he claimed he thought was not opened?

Was it a ghost that put the monies there?

This guy beans don done honestly.

Look ehn, when you flex muscles against a government and it appears as though you're winning, just know this at the back of your mind: They aren't ready for you yet! cheesy

I'm sure the man would be wondering why he didn't quietly step aside before this thing escalated, now he's been disgraced out of office, with his deepest secrets laid bare for every one to see.

Imagine a former CJN o, then one inconsequential nonentity called Fani Kayode will keep talking while being ignored and some dafties will keep egging him on, calling him an untouchable hero. cheesy

so give him a new form to update and let the EFCC investigate the sources of those funds conclusively and prove they are proceeds of corruption ..I hope you know there is no judge in the supreme court that doesn't have up to a billion Naira somewhere..

If all you wrote here are true, why didn't he face the cct and explain himself, instead of obtaining restraining orders in multiple courts?

The CJN will take his position back... it's a Matter of hours and days...

Have u asked yourself how Obj was able to get his bidding in the House of Assembly as President without going against the Constitution?

This line is stale. There was no way the CJN ccould have stopped the NJC from sitting if up to five members of the over twenty member council insisted on sitting

Bro, go and read the CCB Act very well, since he already explained everything as required by law, the case is not supposed to be referred to CCT and he's not supposed to go there too. Aside that, the NJC is supposed to be notified first, according to the law.

That was the question Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, asked Danladi Umar on the first day of the sitting and Umar got annoyed, meaning Umar was instructed to do anything to get the man removed from Office and damn the consequences

court processes are part of him facing the CCT.He has no business appearing before the CCT as only the NJC can try him before any other agency of government

False! The five members would still need to write the chairman of the NJC for approval before setting a sitting date.

You seem not to realise what just happened with the indefinite suspension of the the trial of the CJN by the CCT.

They just used another legal technicality to ensure the CJN remains on suspension.

The court of Appeal cannot do nothing as declared by Falana Yesterday.

The CJN remains on suspension
