PDP won't be fielding a Northerner in 2023 either. Already, there is pressure for Atiku to step down after one term (which won't happen) if he's President. If he loses this election, the North would have no case for contesting again in 2023. That will only happen if Southerners in PDP are foolish enough to make it happen. And surrendering power to the North, just to make sure Yorubas don't emerge with the Presidency will be cutting your nose to spite your face.
