This is to bring to your notification that the election umpire chairman, Mr. Mahmood Yakub has finally conceded to earlier rumour dispelled by the commission of the Presidential Election postponement.

This was as a result of the emergence meeting summoned by Electoral body chairman which lasted for about two hours, with consultation among stakeholders at the meeting.

The announcement was declared by the chairman at a press briefing after the emergency meeting. The presidential and National Assembly Elections are now expected to hold on the 23rd of February, 2019.
