Didn't Tinubu and APC appeal to same Igbos to vote for them?
You guys hate Jimmy Agbaje because he is a Liberal and not a Yoruba bigot like Tinubu and his supporters.

i know this is a sponsored post but even then your point should have some sense.

How has he made it ethnic based. truth is that APC knows more igbos will vote for Agbaje that their puppet hence they have been threatening igbos.

if he says there are lots of igbos to give them an oba status...why not?

he is more open to igbos...that doesnt mean its tribal politics.

O to ge!!!

I don't think Jimmy Agbaje is running an ethnic based campaign. Appealing to Igbos to vote for him does not mean ethnic based.

he is creating the divide. there is great different between lagosians vote candidacy and sectionalising and dividing the people. our politicians tend to use us and we are worse for it cos we close our eyes to their antics due to what we will benefit.

Lies from the pit of hell.
the battle of supremacy between igbos and yorubas in lagos had existed long before Jimi Agbaje started contesting for elections.
Op, share the link of your claim that Jimi Agbaje promised to elevate Eze Igbo Lagos to Oba.
And you all know Igbo doesnt vote APC. so every election cycle, you make Agbaje the scapegoat.
Is it Agbaje that asked tinubu to ask thugs to destroy polling materials in igbo dominated areas in Lagos where PDP was given 98% votes?
Is it Agbaje that asked tinubu to present a gbagada general hospital mental patient as APC gubernatorial candidate?
Jimi Agbaje is running a pure issue-based campaign and we igbos support him 100%.

Are Igbos not also residents of Lagos? Must he only appeal to Yoruba voters only OR appeal to everyone for votes? Keep in mind that Lagos is basically a microcosm of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with people of different tribes who call it home. If anything it is commendable that he is reaching out to other tribes. That shows a man who believes in unity.

You guys are pathetic... almost disgusting. Your type of politics. angry angry

What a despicable form of reverse psychology! undecided undecided You are the ones that are being tribalistic and divisive (you are all fast learning from the bigot-in-chief in aso rock who wants to set the nation ablaze with his unprecedented nepotism and is gradually triggering the same destructive sentiments across the country). cry cry

All of these rants by you and and your pitiable ilks on Nairaland in the last few days is to paint PDP as Igbo and anti-Yoruba, so non-partisan Yorubas will join your typically tribalistic voting pattern? Are you not all afraid that with 30% broad-minded Yorubas voting PDP and 98% of Lagos-based Igbos doing same, Agbaje will emerge governor-elect on Saturday. Is that not your BIG FEAR.

PATHETIC! VERY PATHETIC! Tueeehhhh!
Politics of coercion.

Igbos don't like APC. They don't vote APC. Incidentally, Agbaje is PDP and Igbos will vote for him. You guys are simply not comfortable with that fact, quietly nursing the fear that could tilt the election in his favour. Saboteurs like Amechi, Kalu, Okorocha and Ngige are only seeking for their daily bread and a blind ambition -- in the case of Okorocha.

Don't try to coerce the Igbo into voting your tribal-based party. They wont. PDP is the only true national party.

APC is ACN (Yoruba party) and CPC (Hausa party). Igbos don't do tribal parties. They do only national parties like PDP.

Or do you like APGA? If you don't, then don't try to force Igbos to like APC. PDP is the only true, major party in Nigeria now.

Go and listen to his campaigns before 2011 , compared to 2015 ... campaign should be a generalised statement , that way no one is left out.
one thing i observe about pdp is they structure there campaign as if it all about igbo ... pdp campaign is more or less a magnization concepts, i am glad there failure is on repeat mode.
There is no point arguing with e warriors, there ogas already know wassup ..these governorship election will decide the fate of igbos in lagos..

nairavsdollars:
In the history of Lagos politics, no politician has ran a divisive, ethnic-based and tribalistic campaign like Jimi Agbaje, governorship candidate of the PDP.

When Jimi Agbaje contested the 2007 governorship election under the defunct Democratic Peoples Allliance (DPA), he ran a very robust, issue-based campaign which was acceptable to all Lagosians.

Fast forward to 2015, Jimi Agbaje began a campaign of calumny which seeks to knock the heads of Yorubas living in Lagos against non-indigenes, especially our Igbo brothers from South- East. His promise to elevate Eze Ndigbo to the status of Oba of Lagos greatly angered Oba Rilwan Akiolu, making him to utter the notorious 'perish in the Lagoon' comment?

Now Agbaje as the PDP governorship candidate is running the same campaign again which has pitched Igbos living in Lagos against Yoruba. We say enough is enough.

Yeyesewa of Lagos

You're a lying witch.

This post represent the worst of our politics as it intends to stirr up ethnic tensions in a state while at the same time push most Yorubas in Lagos state against the candidate if the main opposition party in the state. Simply pathetic.

Am only imploring you don't take steps that will be hard to correct politically cos govt policies might affect ur bizness either way...JK u ave my vote but pls stop pitching one region against another...

What are you saying ?
The reversé is the case here.. Tinibu/APC were the people that started tribal politics in Lagos .. Have you forgotten the statement made by Oba ? ...Despite that insult, so many Igbos kept that by the side and voted for APC in 2015 and some of them will still vote APC which you and I know..
You are talking of six cabinet member, don't be deceived by those fake Igbo group that made that demand To Sowu Olu..
Real Ohaneze headed by Nwodo have come out and said openly that they did not and will not endorse any candidate during Lagos guber because the two are Yoruba men.. He debunked the rumour of endorsing any candidate..... Stop being Mischievous..
