Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El Rufai is currently in Kakangi, Birnin Gwari Local Government, where bandits attacked residents, killing some and injuring a few. The bandits also razed houses and the community market.

He visited some of the injured persons from the attack, who are currently receiving treatment at the Birnin Gwari General Hospital.
