Thank you gallivant for the mall photos.
I came back from coast last week, went to town the last Friday, the cameras! they are everywhere, big brother is having a a field day! altough I was told most of them are still being installed and not operational

Can you blame them though? The terrorism threat is real.I am okay with the cameras if it improves the security situation.

The second tower would be a 30 floor hotel by Marriott and would also include some residential rooms.

The private residential area across Chiromo Lane would comprise four 20 floor buildings with houses for rental and some for sale. There would be green spaces within including some sunken gardens.

There retail space would be based around the linking bridge and there would also be parking for over 1,700 cars over a two and half basement area (the non-builder in me doesn't know what two and half means!) linked across the road via a tunnel.

You know how it is. The capital city always goes first, even in terms of county funding. But I just noticed something, its amazing how Mombasa has never had any significant terorrist attack when its the one city that should be most prone to terror, all riots by radicalised youth have happened in Mombasa, all vocal Imams who publicly supported terrorism have been assasinated in Mombasa. You would thing it would be the one place where terrorism has catapulted to pure sectarean violence where even normal youth fight against each other because of religion, but surprisingly its not that unsafe in Mombasa. But after Nairobi mombasa will be next, I was hoping after Mombasa garissa will be next
