we cant judge this man now, judgement should come after the job done.
time tables changes doesnt really disquelify his capability of performing, presidents of big countries that matters a lot flip flops at times or rather makes changes in critical issues at times.

so therefore, nigerian election is not gonna be only about jega but it starts with jega down to the co workers under him,
security agencies,we the voters,politicians.

but the principal job is to be performed by jega, for now we should for gods sake believe in ourselfs in this country especially this critical time.
we havent seen any wrong oing by mr jega for now so therefore we should be confident that he leads us to the new nigerian era.
maybe this the begining of the new nigerian era, we can never know if we dont give it a short by surporting him and believing in him,
ghana ran a credible election, they had corupt system before the new era.

we cannot change in a year,it goes by process and we are arriving to that goal sooner or later.

god bless nig

A man that has not even done anything is already been termed a failure - Nigerians we hail thee.

The same people who faulted the old electoral register - the same people asking why the register cant be used.

The same people saying the time is too short- the same people now accusing him of hidden agenda just because he asked for more time.

I wonder what any of you guys will add to the well being of Nigeria and Nigerians if given the chance to occupy any of these government positions - nothing, you will all do worse jobs. So, please keep quiet and let people do their jobs.

sure. but he's not da only umpire. what of the other 12? its a general believe that there is tendency of a Judas among 12 disciples. All he need do is watch very closely, the contributions of the other 12 commissioners and states resident officers.
Also, we can contribute by exposing the past of these people if U genuinely know them.

there is a culture in nigerian electorial practices (rigging) which pdp has come to modify.
we have a system where a winner takes all. we have a system where results are known before election.
we have a pdp that does not believe in what the ppl feel.
we have a pdp caucus that believes so much in selection.
we have a new govt who believed that prof iwu was corrupt by deserves no punishments.
we have a govt that came in through the back door and is promising a free and fair election.
we have a jega who was choosen based on pdp quota system rather than merit.
we have the same weak nigerian masses whose votes never count.
we have a govt that rejected the recommendations of her own electorial reforms committee and went ahead and appoint the inec chairman.
we have a govt that is promising change with the same gang of old criminals.
no matter what we expect from this jega of a man, we must understand it that incumbents don't loose elections in nigeria.
jega will not be foolish to bite this finger(jonathan) that fed him.
what a way to make jega happy if not by providing N87b for his services.
obasanjo has earlier said it that even Jesus Christ can never conduct a free and fair election in nigeria so who is jega?

Critics can’t force me out of INEC –Jega

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega on Monday said it would take more than an earthquake to force him out of the commission.

Jega was reacting to speculations that he was setting INEC up for a fall to prepare grounds for him to “throw in the towel.”

The INEC boss said this at a press conference ahead of his scheduled meeting with the 88 members of the Joint Committee of the National Assembly on the Review of the 1999 Constitution.

He also dismissed insinuations that some of the original equipment manufacturers specifically: Letnovo and Avante had pulled out of the bidding and procurement process for the Direct Data Capturing machines.

Jega accused conspiracy theorists and faceless individuals with vested interests of feeding some media organisations with speculations and unfounded rumuors about contracts for the DDC machines.

He said “We have done a credible international bidding process which is fully in compliance with Nigerian laws of due process. I also don’t know where you got the idea that Avanti and Lenovo backed out, it’s false, and it’s not true.

“People are writing all sorts of false and misleading information in newspapers and unfortunately the media is being … but some of you are not cross checking the information that some other people are giving you for whatever their agenda is.

“Lenovo was given the RFQ, Lenovo has quoted, Avanti was given the RFQ, Avanti has quoted so, I don’t know where you got information that these people have backed out.

“Some people who have an agenda are giving you information and some of you are using it.

“There are many people who have competed who have not been successful. They are not happy with the way the process has gone, so, they are creating all sorts of wrong stories and they are giving it to you and some of you don’t confirm it, you go ahead to publish.”

The INEC boss also said the Commission’s request for more time to deliver on its promise of free, fair and credible elections was without prejudice to the 29th May 2011 handover date.

According to him, “It will take a hell lot of earthquake or something to get me out of INEC until I accomplish this task.

“There are a lot of speculations out there. In fact, there are a lot of conspiracy theorists out there that one-the good thing is that, they are just talking about Jega; they are not talking about the commission.

“They are saying that Jega is not adequately prepared for this job; they are saying that Jega is going to throw in the towel and walk away from this job.

“In fact part of the conspiracy theory is that Jega is doing everything so that everything fails so that at the end of it, all he will then walk away from failure.”

That's a sure fact but from what I can see, this man lacks organizational skills. Radicalism and organization are worlds apart

Don't worry. Lets just give Jega the benefit of doubt. We shall know at the end of 90 minutes.
