Hi every one. Can anyone tell me where to replace my MB 202 (C230K) a/c 'module'. Cos my technician just ran a direct connection of the Fan such that when I start the car, the fan starts spinning automatically contrary to the initial factory settings... when asked why and if any implication he said 'no problem' and that the 'module' is bad that's why whenever the A/C comes on,the fan doesn't spin which results in hi temp...and that the module is not usually available here in Kaduna. The thing is I'm nt comfortable with this reconnection and wouldn't be happy if anything goes wrong later. Pls ur suggestions! |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by jonaboy: 10:30pm On Nov 18, 2014 |
abrahamolusoji:. Where are you based in Kaduna? There is a mercedes workshop behind kaura motors in Asikolaye area near Bakin Ruwa, there is a company close to the workshop that specialise in car AC repair I'm sure they can handle it for you. |

abrahamolusoji: I had wanted to treat this but couldnt post on nairaland then, not untill today..this module is found in our spare part market, but fairly use ones and it goes for about 5k. I bought mine there when i reconnected back my cooling system/ ac to factory. I have the circuit diagram for all the wire termination and connections, even if yours were messed up like mine. |

Remote did not open the car but the light on remote was blinking. Car door was forced open from to top. The car ignited but functions like trafficator, horn, AC, door lock, windows, radio, wiper stopped functioning. |

Great Benz enthusiasts, I need your help. I drive a GL 450..Yesterday, while I was in traffic, the engine just stopped. I managed to restart the SUV after a couple of trials. However, the movement was not smooth. It kept stalling and would not rev. It was like it would stop again any minute. I managed to get it home sha. By that time, the check engine light had come on. I used my Launch scanner and it picked P2006 (intake manifold stuck open - bank 1) as well as P0300 (several cylinder misfires) .Has anybody had this issue before? Also, the SUV is kindda bouncy now. Not too bad but noticeable. My suspension is.suspect. Please share your experience and views with me. Its my first Benz and barely 3months old. Guess I got an unpleasant baptism with Benz. |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by auhanson(m): 1:05am On Nov 27, 2014 |
beholddean:Don't panic. This is no issue. Its a fuel system problem. If u we're using premium fuel or extreme fuel treatment, it wouldn't have happen in the first place. Just do a thorough cleaning/replacing of your plugs, clean up your throttle body, nuzzle etc and all will be well. After then make sure you use Xft/ premium fuel for your car to completely clear this and to avoid future occurrence. 1 Like |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by beholddean: 7:33pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
auhanson:God bless you bro. You are so correct. I just took the SUV out for a ride on the expressway today. Filled some fuel in the tank to at least raise the fuel level a bit. It rode fine and normal. No issues whatsoever. I didnt go so far though, as i have not checked the plugs and nozzles like you advised. I will have my Mechanic do that over the weekend. My other concern now is the suspension. Its slightly bouncy now, though a friend told me that when the suspension is bad, the height would continually drop when it is parked. I ve not experienced any drop though. |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Eyop: 7:36pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
beholddean: auhanson is correct my brother and for sure, the problem you experienced is fuel related and nothing more. I have experienced same some years ago so just follow his advice. Is your GL450 suspension airmatic? |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Nobody: 8:00pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
Eyop: All GL comes with Airshocks and they cost an arm and a leg. |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Nobody: 8:03pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
Eyop: I would Advise you go to Konga and Jumia and get extreme fuel treatment I'm even surprised you drive the car in that condition. Check your tyre pressure and hope they well inflated. The tyre pressure is on the door panel don't listen to the Vulcanizers that insists on 50 and 60 PSI. Also check your power steering fluid often the GL is known for chewing it's steering rack another expensive fix. |
