The Police is just a sub system. Some award should be convert to firing squad if we have true justice here. So don't blame it all on police.

Sky Blue:

Gosh, posters its not every single flipping thing you have to criticise or make jest of. How demoralising it is to be a police officer in a country that does not even have a clear mechanism for rewarding or even showing some appreciation to officers who excel. How much is the average police officer paid? Have you been to the barracks where they live? They are under equipped, under trained, under paid, bathed in insults and ridiculed by the public, and you still expect these same people to be paragons of professionalism in the dispensation of their duties? How demoralising it must be serving as a police officer in Nigeria indeed.

cool

cool

This is one reasonable person l have seen. Some people come here and write different rubbish out of their shallow mind and never imagine themselves in the same shoe wt these offices and then imagine what they will do. Dishonest people that criticise police.

What were the criteria for the selection of the awardees. This kind of post should really focus on the criteria for the award and not the award per se. Deserving policemen  I can't think of any positive qualifications.

The award is to reward the policemen for not demanding N20 from Church goer at the illegal checkpoints. Church members now have special stickers on their cars identifying their membership in the Church

Not true, the stickers is free for all, you can contact me if you want. We want to sensitize our people and start our own little change from the police, if we all pick one field of play or the other to start a change I believe our country will surely change for the better
