Who dares refuse the president a loan. His position is already a collateral. Show us how he paid off the loan.

Nonsense.

He didn’t have a job after 3 months as he was overthrown on August 27, 1985 after chopping 200 hot slaps from then Major Sambo Dasuki, and after being handcuffed by then Major Abubakar Dangiwa Umar, and thrown into the back of a moving land rover by then Majors Lawan Gwadabe and Abdulmumini Aminu. grin

To me this is proof of corruption since way back. This was called a "loan". With his salary was he entitled to such amount? What was the collateral(s)? When was it paid? Integrity requires the highest standard but Nigerians seem not to understand. Integrity to Nigerians could be they like you so they see no fault. His aides have once again bungled. This is not helping PMB or next level

It is very unethical for a head of state to take a loan from a bank far beyond more than 30 per cent of his monthly salary could cover in at most four years! He obviously had no intention of paying back that money and I am sure he never did.

Man of integrity indeed!

This is infact an expression of a financially shallow individual; you worked up to the height of becoming a president and you did not have a saving to build a house, only to fall back on loan; how do we expect this person to build a good Nigeria of our dream?

As Head-of-State, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari got a bank loan of 260,000 naira (with 11% interest) from Union Bank on June 1, 1984, to build his house in Kaduna.

A brand new car was around 10k naira in 1984.

Meaning that buhari borrowed the equivalent of 11 brand new cars.

In modern day, a brand new car could go for around 5 million naira.

Do the math.

As useless as the "b" in "doubt".

Who is the dullard here
You earn 48Million Naira in 4 years, and you will still be able to save 40million from that to purchase election nomination form? So he doesn't make any expenses atall?? Even if he saved all, make him carry all go sink for nomination form abi?

Must people comment on every thing?

this dullard is really confused, he is busy showing us this rubbish instead of governance. Please tell us how, your son bought bike for 300 thousand dollars. Well I am not surprised, after earning about 2 million naira monthly ever month for four years without paying rent or feeding, the dullard could still not save 40 million naira to buy APC nomination form

In 1984, Union Bank was still effectively owned and controlled by the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (with a majority shareholding of about 60%), so the Conflict of Interest was blatant.
