The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), has said that he cannot speak on the decision of the Muhammadu Buhari-led government to drop the prosecution of Gombe Central senator, Danjuma Goje, because he did not have details of the matter.

Sagay said this during an interview Tuesday

The senior advocate, however, said he would not be in support of the move if it was done for political reasons.

He said he could not speak on the matter because he did not know why the case was dropped.

Sagay said, “I’m not aware of the reason because my answer must depend on the reason. I’m going to find out. Let’s put it this way: if there is a good case against him, then it is withdrawn, it’s not justified.

“One really needs to know the reason; I don’t want to start condemning him without finding out why. But if there’s a good case and that case is withdrawn for political reasons, I cannot support it.

“That’s all I can say, but there may be a justifiable reason which I don’t know yet. So, I’m not going to condemn (the Federal Government) yet without enough knowledge of the circumstances.”

This Prof. just dey fall man hand. Why are Nigerians like this. When the FG. does something wrong, instead of him to condemn the action, his mouth will be struck by epilepsy but if an action is taken against the FG. he will start his stupid ranting. This one na still person papa?

Nigerian leaders always trend in 'Do what I say, not what I do.' When leaders prefer to leave a 'bigger baggage' more than their predecessor, there's a problem.

Shameless scam of a SAN.

It is not really his fault.
The corrupt rogue lawyer is feeding fat on our commonwealth so he cannot say the truth.

Education in Nigeria is grossly overrated. I find it difficult to believe that a professor will be doing boy boy and dirty job for an illiterate instead of the other way round. Look at what once respected Sagay and Osinbajo has turned into.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that, there are justifiable reasons why corruption cases could be dropped? This administration actually knows much about law , corruption and reasons. Little wonder we see the likes of maina reinstated, akpabio becomes saint, obanikoro innocent witness, and so many more because they have justifiable reasons to be corrupt. A justifiable looting, impunity, nepotism is no corruption.
