Obiano the drunken master busy piling up more debt like its going out of fashion. learning well from the dullard herder. Obi handed you a state with no debt and you have accumulated more than 30b....
Yes I remember Peter Obi handing over the state with about 3billion debt, how come it rose to 33billion. Obiano has serious explanation to make.

Pay attention to Yoruba states debt. Deceiving you with useless fake stats they are doing well, raking up loans and using Niger Delta oil money to service those loans. Ekiti IGR is bigger than that of all SE...deceiving you! The same Ekiti where I served, there is no more than 4 3-star hotel, barely any industry, then where the fucck is the IGR coming from? The day this country will separate, people will be shock to see these people worst than alamajiris as one nairalander said.

USA is the most indebted country in the World does that also means USA don't generate enough IGR according to your logic?

South West economy is weak but you are still all over our states and Cities pushing wheel Barrows, Hawking Gala, Selling puff puff, Fan Milk and Fan yogo and opening 2 by 4 shops, does that make sense to you?

where is the correlation here? So what does being the most populous state has to do with this?

Is the money being used for social security ? Lagos has been constructing lagos-badagry expressway for 10 years , spending billions on it, yet there is no end in sight. The light rail they add to it sef, morocco has since completed theirs since, we just turned it to white elephant project.

As of June 2019, federal debt held by the public was $16.17 trillion and intragovernmental holdings were $5.86 trillion, for a total national debt of $22.03 trillion. ... In 2017, the US debt-to-GDP ratio was ranked 43rd highest out of 207 countries...Wikipedia
Stop throwing stats you don't understand.

The $22 Trillion debts are held within the US, so this is not a threat to the US economy.

Intra-governmental holdings is just government offices borrowing among themselves. So, it is not actually a burden on the government of US.

So the real debt of the US is $16 trillion and those money are held by the citizens.

Compare our debt profiles to their and you would understand why we have been shouting since.

Lol, you're part of the generation of educated illiterates, Professor Wole Soyinka was talking about the other day...So the Oil from the Niger Delta is used to service Domestic Debt Profile of state in the South West abi. You've obviously had a very wasteful education to say the least.

Lagos generates MORE THAN ENOUGH INTERNAL REVENUE to be a Dubai...Unfortunately, the revenue generated and debt profile don't match the infrastructure present in the state. How can a city with over 20 million inhabitants in the 21st century not have mass transit (Trains)? Or is it the pothole infested roads? Or the non-functional street lights/traffic lights?

America has a high debt profile, but the Average American, can feel in the impact of the borrowed monies in their day to day lives. In Lagos, it is suffering for the masses- who struggle to get up 4:30 am, get holed up in endless traffic, pass through horrible roads & have to struggle with agberos working for their pay master

Lagos is indeed the center of excellence. This is just the domestic debt o.

The problem isn't just about the debt but about the fact that most of these debts are incurred to service the humongous recurrent expenditure occasioned by the greediness and flamboyant lifestyles of our present and past Chief Executives.

What do we have to show from these debts? Some emergency Billionaires, Decaying infrastructures, white elephant projects, abandoned and inflated projects.

There must be a day of reckoning
Look around you. We are living in the days of reckoning.

Those debts aren't reducing any time soon.

Lagos still don't generate enough revenue to be a Dubai

UAE GDP alone is equal to the entire GDP of Nigeria with just 9.4 million population compare to Nigeria 200 million population

Although Lagos should be able to do more in terms of infrastructure but Lagos is not generating enough to be like Dubai

UAE entire population is 9.4 million compare to Lagos 17.5 or 21 million population

I am not making a comparison between Lagos & Dubai...My statement was purely alluding to the fact that Lagos generates enough revenue to be as beautiful as Dubai. Dubai is a beautiful city with a functional mass transit system, no potholes on their roads, functional traffic lights/street lights etc The revenue Lagos state generates is MORE THAN ENOUGH to make this city have all those good things you see in Dubai
