Chai look at the beautiful family he is leaving behind. Why would anybody waste his life for what the northerners brought on themselves. Northerners should sort themselves out. Soldiers of SE and SS descent should just quit the army

Most of the news on Nairaland cannot be trusted anymore.

This particular news is fake as the late officer died in an accident on his way to or from Serti Taraba State, where he was participating in a conversion course.

It has nothing to do with Boko haram.

This country has many problems it will take sm1 not just smart and highly intelligent bt very well prepared to steer this country out of these storms.

Here we are struggling to get ministers, afraid to fire none performers and recycling incapable men. Even tanzania and south Africa are not that useless. Trump was right Nigeria is a shithole. I’m sorry

Where's your conscience for crying out loud? This is a sad news about a fallen hero fighting for the entire Nigerians (many of them though). All you could searched out from your brain to post in regard to his death is the above heartless post. He may not be my blood brother, but he's a human like me.
You mustn't fan the ember of tribal war with every thread especially one like this.

Like seriously do we still have enough men left in the Nigerian armed forces? Hope the government knows that the more it delays to curb this bokoharam menace in it's entirety the more human and financial resources keep getting depleted. I mean how long do they think they can keep funding this war that doesn't seem to end? I really pity the north.

extend ur pity to d entire 9ja!

Where are the northern soldiers? In the northern theatre for that matter.

Are they only prominent when it comes to nepotic promotions and appointments?

Too bad.

Another Nigerian soldier, Capt. Ikechukwu Ohakwe, has been killed by Boko Haram terrorists, Igbere TV has learnt.

Igbere TV gathered that the late Capt. Ohakwe, is a top ranking military officer from Nekede, in Imo State.

It was learnt that the fallen hero is among the recent victims of the Boko Haram insurgency in Northeast, Nigeria.

He died when his group was reportedly attacked by the terrorists group, in their latest attack on the Nigerian troops.

Meanwhile, Igbere TV had earlier reported on Thursday that a Nigerian army colonel including five other gallant soldiers were killed in an ambush by rebel fighters in Borno state.

According to reports, heavily armed fighters from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) backed Boko Haram group, on Wednesday, opened fire on a patrol vehicle of soldiers, killing all the soldiers on board.

Igbere TV understands that the attack came hours after a military chief in the Northeast warned “terrorists” in the region to surrender or be destroyed.

So many soldiers and civilians have been lost within the course of the war and the battle is beginning to seem like one which will end in a Pyrrhic victory for the nation.

What do we expect from an old man of 70 plus. There shouldn't be any blame for him if he fails to perform after all, it's him we prefer.

Send southern soldiers to confront and be killed in ambush by Boko Haram. That's the tactic of the Jihadists now commanding the space called Nigeria.

Northern Moslem soldiers who share same objectives with Boko Ham, bandits and Fulani herdsmen for a Nigeria to be governed by Islamic Sharia criminal codes, are sent to control the south of Nigeria.

This is the tactic now used by mainly northern Moslem commanders of Nigeria's armed forces in their Jihad..

RIP soldier for fighting for a war you barely understood its cause, source and mouth of the Boko Haram you fight against.
