That is, if you will patiently allow Him pick you up from where life has discarded you. Just don't force anything. And be prayerful.

That said, I don't know if it is financial help he needs or some form of counselling. Aunties ifyalways, chaircover and other family section counsellor, someone might be able to use your counselling.
