They are poor historians. When has any group get meaningful result from Nigeria peacefully? If they want to be taken seriously, they know what to do. Until then, they are embarking on silly suicide missions with their "peaceful" protests.

Any death on side of the police is likely to be a friendly fire, there would have been more casualties on side of the police force if the shiites were actually armed as the police are trying to make us to believe just to give shiites a bad name.

Was thinking in that direction too

Your post is delusional. This is a movement. Do you know what a movement means?. Do you know what it means to be deeply indoctrinated into a religions ideology?. Surely you don't.

@POLITICSNIGERIA.COM

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN a.k.a Shiites have released a statement alleging that 11 of their members were shot dead and 30 others injured by the Police during a clash with security officers at the National Assembly on Monday.

The group, in a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA, signed by its media chief, Ibrahim Musa, also denied shooting at police officers, claiming that since they began protesting for the release of the leader, Shiekh Ibrahim El-zakzaky, they have never carried arms. The statement read;"Abuja today yet again witnessed one of the worst cases of blatant trampling of the rights of citizens ever seen in the Federal Capital, when joint security forces consisting of both uniformed men and officers of the Nigerian Police Force and others in mufti, unleashed their fury on a Free Zakzaky protest by members of the Islamic Movement."

"The procession, attended by several thousands of persons, including very young children, the aged, women and the physically challenged, met with an extreme rage indicative of deep-seated animosity the Nigerian authorities bear for the Movement."

"What actually happened was that the protesters started the procession from NITEL junction and on getting to federal secretariat the police cordoned off the road and started firing at them."

"A lot of people have been shot but for now we can only confirm 11 deaths, but several are injured, the figure, for now, stood at 30. Though we are aware of the fact that the security agents have been going around taking off those they killed from the streets."

"Even some seriously injured persons that were taken to Abuja University Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada; the police went there and took away about 11 people they shot during the protest."

"We strongly dispute the claim by the police that the protesters shot at them because throughout our processions we have not been carrying any arms right from 2015 to date. It was also the police who shot at the Reporter of Channels TV, another indication that many innocent people were shot at by the police, including some of their own."

"In this era so social media the brutality displayed by the police today has been captured with some pictures showing the police setting up the bonfires and there are videos that captured the police carting away their victims."

Did the shites really kill the DCP?

How did they get to him? All videos I have seen show the police shooting at them without remorse

So how did they kill him?

I just hope that the government isn't using propaganda to justify this killings of the shites ?

Time and Time again we have seen these shiites hide under the "peaceful protest" toga to unleash mayhem on the public. When they are resisted, they flood the internet with gory pictures playing victim.

While I believe that the FG can better handle this impasse, I also think the Shiites can toe the line of peace by been more civil in their protests.

Hurling rocks and destroying public property is by no means a Hallmark of a peaceful protest anywhere in the world. It isn't only about not carrying guns. No government anywhere in the world will fold their arms and watch you do that.

Peaceful protest is people gathered at one location and holding placards or even sitting down. Where marching must be done, it is done in an orderly fashion usually with police escorts to prevent hoodlums hijacking it.

To the FG, I think itis time to explore other options. If I were the President, I would "free" Zakzaky but keep him under very strict security surveillance. The case can continue from his house. Once he is in his house among his people, these needless conflicts will cease.

Frankly this daily riots in the nation's capital is becoming an international embarrassment.

Buhari swore on oath that he will uphold the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria but a ruling as long been issued by competent court of jurisdiction. What then is Buhari waiting?

See what I dont like about people like you is the ignorance you parade. Is zakzaky imprisoned in Buharis house?
And if the courts say he should be released and a court order has not been obliged, then the reason why he is yet to be released is because there is a superior order that supersedes the court's which is of course legal. So what's the noise all about. you probably don't know the reason why the federal Government is keeping him under lock and key

something is wrong b4 the Fg decide to disobey court orders. in this country even satan can be discharge and acquited by our judicial system. so let d protesters seek for other peaceful measures rather than violent protest.

You may not understand, i was an eyes witness. I had been supporting them for long but from today on am not longer on their side. I have come to realize what these people is upto. They almost kill me today. The police was very professional to the extent i was thinking some of the police are part of them. The protest turned violence for almost 20 minutes before the police could applied force. From all indications they are the one whom forced the police to respond. There were many police presence but only few of them was armed. I was surprised when they started setting anything they can learn their hands on ablaze, harassing people, block roads and trying to kill. My brother the scene wasn't a child play. But i blame the police for not responding fast because somehow their slow response could have cause a big havoc today and thank God for life.

Haba. Are you the judge? Or will you do the job of the judge for him?

If nothing has been done then it is a legal standing. If it wasnt they would have gone back to court to seek reasons why the order had not been honoured.

When PDP won the legal battle in Zamfara and Rivers why didnt Buhari upturn it if he is that drunk in power.

Please dont be lazy to think logically.
