In A Democratic Society, Government Is Not Responsible For Job Creation? by tolutara: 3:17pm On Oct 14, 2010
People what is your take on this?

I believe that is not the government's responsibility to create jobs for its citizen but to create an environment ( this includes good roads, consistent power/electricity, tax benefits etc)which fosters job creation through its small, medium sized and large corporations.

The average Nigerian complains that the reason why they haven't found a job is because the government has no jobs .

please weigh in on this,

obama mentioned how many job opportunities he will create within a time frame and i guess that was not under a democratic setting?
if we have all our govt agents working in full capacities, do u know how many ppl that will be employed?
because of unsteady power supply that makes cost of production high in nigeria, a multi-national company like macheline has left nigeria for ghana - do u know how many nigerians that are left unemployed just for that?
without condusive atmosphere, nobody can create job opportunities. look at china, it is because the govt has put in place good policies and structures that companies are going there for production and do u know how that is solving unemployment problems there?
the soludo's policies on our banks made that sector a temporary oil company and the reverse of such by sanusi has left thousands unemployed, are those not governmental factors?
where did u get ur information mr. poster?
there can't be any form of employment without the support of the govt.
at the end of day, governmental policies directs the movements in the employment of the citizens.
the topic u choose here is more of economics and u must be informed on this before taking on it.
