Former Oceanic Bank MD/CEO, Cecilia Ibru is not in Ikoyi prisons where she's supposed to be serving her 18 months jail term which runs concurrently. She is currently living at Reddington private hospital in VI and she may likely spend the remaining months there, escaping seeing the walls of a prison.

Mrs Ibru is enjoying this special privilege courtesy of defense lawyer's plea for leniency on grounds of ill-health. Having succeeded in the plea bargain, Taiwo Osipitan (SAN) went on to inform the court that Mrs. Ibru is still on admission at Reddington, where she's receiving treatment for chronic cardiac disease, congestive heart failure, chronic hypertension in lower extremities. It was on this ground that Justice Abutu granted her request.

If she was still the MD of Oceani Bank, will she be in the hospital. Perhaps her travails led to her health complications.

Na you sabi that one. All they want to do is keep her there so the government will have mercy and ask her to serve from her hospital room.

Either way she is till serving her term, Staying in the best hospital in the world is still not like staying in the best hotel in world where u can go and come, Since there is no way in ascertaining her true health, I would err on the side of caution by accepting that she might be truly not in good health going by the turmoil of the last years; I believe , her movement is restricted and at her cost, I know it is not ideal; but the hospital gets paid; in turn pay staffs and pay taxes, She should stay there, as long as she wasn't sent home and her movement restricted,
