Pep Guardiola and Sergio Aguero had a furious touchline bust-up after the striker was replaced by Gabriel Jesus in Manchester City's 2-2 draw with Tottenham, MySportDab reports.

Aguero was substituted in the 66th minute and appeared to make a comment as he walked past Guardiola in the dug-out.

The striker's words prompted a furious response from Guardiola, who turned around and began shouting at the striker, who responded with a verbal volley of his own.

The pair continued to trade verbal blows for 44 seconds until assistant coach Mikel Arteta intervened and ushered Guardiola towards the touchline.

Aguero wasn't angry with the substitution. He was angry with Guardiola's remonstrations on the touch line telling him he should have followed the new substitution rule by exiting at the closest touch line. He (Aguero) felt he actually ran all the way to be substituted, so he didn't waste any time in the real sense.
