Gov Wike of Rivers was roundly criticised by some myopic so-called Christians from the south for declaring Rivers a Christian State during a thanksgiving church service to mark his re-election. These idealist fools claimed such a declaration goes against the separation of the state and church citing constitutional provisions that forbids the adoption of any religion by the state. How naive these fools are! If they really read the constitution they would have seen that there exist an Islamic supreme body headed by the Sultan of Sokoto which is fully funded by the government.
