Sadly I’m sure the envoys would be grin treated very well especially here in Nigeria. They might even host them to good food lol
lol. Trust our people na. All the envoys need to hold is a brown envelope and Nigerian police will shoot at site any one who booes them. grin

Nigerians should shut the Bleep up and stop this hypocrisy. They painfully sacked and deported 2.5 million Africans from their country twice in the 80s.They always try to justify their xenophobic actions by saying Ghanaians sacked them first,ok,let's say Ghanaians did it first and had no moral right to complain, out of the 2.5 million sacked Africans, about 1 million were Ghanaians. What about the rest of 1.5 million Africans who were also forcefully sacked. What did they do to you.And they still maintain the xenophobic bag name "Ghana Must Go" and they still say it proudly. If someone should suffer repercussion after xenophobia, Nigeria should be number 1.Now they shamefully move and stay illegally in these same African countries they once sacked because even in West Africa, you stay a maximum of 90 days in a country. Ghana still supports South Africa. We have been there before. The world won't bat an eye when you turn into another deplorable Zimbabwe state buh is the first to point fingers when you begun an internal revolutionary house cleaning. This is best done without the aid of the government. The citizens have to take charge. In Ghana we literally had to kill three heads of States publicly (Two former and one incumbent). The whole world abandoned is and Kwame Nkrumah 's once beautiful Black Star country was reduced to a failed state. Sanctions everywhere and they called us savages. Now 30 years after. We are among top ten largest economy in Africa and now, among the top most open, progressive and sane countries in Africa .If any South African is listening, It's South Africa first before anything. We had to dump that stupid Pan Africanism vision.Africa failed and backstapped us.

This apology is ill-intentioned.

The SA people satisfied their thirst for blood and carnage. Even days after wide condemnation, they persisted and had their full while their government through serving ministers and past presidents released various excuses why the citizens were in a way justified.

The SA government also took advantage of these incidents to make some indigent policies that solely favors SA citizens as empowered by their constitution.

Now that the affected countries are gearing up to start returning the favor in order to end the one sided madness, the SA government runs cap in hand to start apologizing.

No please!

All affected countries must return the favor by acting in the interests of their country and nationals. SA must be made to pay, in every way possible; then such madness would not be condoned by the SA government when next it rears it ugly head!

While some of your assertions make sense, especially in the area of Nigeria being in a deplorable state caused by wicked and clueless leaders (who obviously have no business being leaders), you clearly went off point by comparing killings, arsons, looting and carnage by the SA people to deportation of illegal immigrants carried out by the Nigerian government (as empowered by law).

I put it to you that if SA had deported illegal immigrants from its country, no one would have batted an eye lid.

Hope you now understand the real subject matter.

The South African government are now begging Zimbabweans to forgive them over the recent xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals in their country, Igbere TV reports.

This comes barely 24 hours after the country’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa, was booed by a crowd of Zimbabwe mourners at the funeral service of Robert Mugabe over the attacks.

“I stand before you as a fellow African to express my regret and apologise for what has happened in our country,” Ramaphosa had said while apologizing for the development in his condolence speech at the Zimbabwe National Sports Stadium.

In a show of remorse for the attacks in their country and resultant reprisals, South Africans have staged a peace walk and asked for forgiveness from other African nations.

Photos and footage in circulation on social media, obtained by Igbere TV, show thousands of South Africans marching in parts of the country to call for an end to attacks on foreign nationals.

The march is coming after hundreds of foreign nationals – including Nigerians and Zimbabweans – were forced to leave the country over the recent xenophobic attacks.

Meanwhile, following the humiliation he suffered at the hands of Zimbabweans during Mugabe’s funeral on Satruday, Ramaphosa has now taken steps to address the negative image the citizens of other countries currently have about South Africa.

A statement published on the official website of South Africa’s presidency on Sunday said Ramaphosa has appointed a special envoy to heads of African governments to convey his regret concerning the widely condemned attacks.

The statement obtained by Igbere TV, read;

“A team of Special Envoys appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa have begun their assignment yesterday, 14 September 2019, and departed South Africa to deliver messages of solidarity to several Heads of State and Government across Africa,” the statement said.

“The team, comprising of Mr Jeff Radebe, Ambassador Kingsley Mmabolo and Dr. Khulu Mbatha, will visit Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.

“The Special Envoys will deliver a message from President Ramaphosa regarding the incidents of violence that recently erupted in some parts South Africa, which have manifested in attacks on foreign nationals and destruction of property.

“The Special Envoys are tasked with reassuring fellow African countries that South Africa is committed to the ideals of pan-African unity and solidarity. The Special Envoys will also reaffirm South Africa’s commitment to the rule of law.

“The Special Envoys will brief governments in the identified African countries about the steps that the South African government is taking to bring a stop to the attacks and to hold the perpetrators to account.”

I honestly don’t know why it’s so hard for us to have stable electricity for years. It still baffles me. Why would I want to go to South Africa for ‘greener pasture’ if my country is okay? What do they have that we can’t ? We’ve a country full of potentials

We are riddled with useless system of govt. U see this Nigeria, it will not work o. Buhari will complete 8 years and it will still look like usual. Nothing different. Another person will come and go and nothing will change until we sit down and tell our selves the truth. The truth is forced marriage can't work. Nigerians don't like them selves politically. Politically, we can't live together. The highest beneficiary of this useless system are the political class and business frontiers who gain from politicians. The leaders know this. Nigeria is full of ethnic domination syndrome. It can't work o. For instance, a certain region will have potentials for certain things but the govt will never give the region the needed infrastructure to excel because of fear of domination.

Also, nigeria practice politics of bitterness and cold war between south west and South east, and North vs south. This can never allow any meaningful development in any country. Nigeria uses federal character and quota system which undermines merit. This can never allow best brains to work in our country. Everything about Nigeria is all about ethnic consideration. Very useless country. If we don't weaken the central govt and allow nations to form their own govt with a central army, we will not grow. In fact, nigeria may become more useless.. For instance, our population is already a problem. Unfortunately, one region feels birth control is bad for their religion and politics. So they give birth any how and cause insecurity for the rest of the country. We now use our scarce resources to fight insecurity in that region. Money we could have used to build quality stadiums and improve our local league which will create more jobs for Nigerians.

Also, a country that lies with her population. In nigeria, population is seen as a tool to get more federal allocation, and rig elections. There is this competition to dominate the central govt instead of competition among states to develop, we compete to dominate central govt. All these can't bring development.. Sadly, the masses don't know anything.. Whatever their leaders tell them, they will do. So, forget it, nigerians will continue to migrate as long as they have refused to team up and wrestle to change the current system of govt. No body won die.

No Nation can ever be self sufficient, somehow someway someday you'll inevitably require other people's support and company to survive, which is what the myopic citizens of SA causing harm to their fellow black brothers are ignorant of. This same careless action borne out of emotion instead of long term economic benefit led to Indi Amma's order to have all Whites vacate his country, even though the order was later downplayed the harm has already been caused, because right under his watch Uganda's currency almost became worse than a tissue paper. Mugabe also toed this line of action by revoking lands belonging to the whites, the resultant effect is what they are yet to come to term with. This is the very reason why I don't support arbitrary border closure to the detriment of citizens well-being, If your border is porous it's because the people who are suppose to man it are either not trustworthy or they choose to look the other way while all the illegal activities are going on under their nose, citizens shouldn't bear the brunt of this careless dispatch. If we are self-sufficient in rice, what about apple? even if we chose to cultivate it do we have the right weather to do so successfully? Not until we understand the dynamics of the Law of comparative advantage and use it to our favor as in to achieve a favorably balance of trade and income, we may forever close the border and see it lead to severe austerity, dwindling fortune and extra-low SOL.
