Internet scam is not a violent crime, Its a social crime and if you doubt check the meaning of social crime online.
The use of telecommunication gadgets are private and not prohibited items / gadgets that people should be arrested for.
In USA, Uk and other parts of Europe people are arrested for internet scam through petition and complain by victims after discrete investigation is conducted linking the accused with the crime or through the use of technology by security agencies that detects your illegal online activities not through report by envious neighbors or friends.
People work smart and what working smart means, working from home with your phones and computers. Some businesses are conducted online and some people have their offices in their homes.
Right of privacy, liberty and dignity should be respected.
Is there any law that prevents Nigerians from making foreign friends, interacting with foreigners, belonging to social dating sites and having foreign contacts in their phones?
The intimidation/harassment of individuals from our security officials just because they have gadgets with a foreign friends on social media without any fraudulent activities must be stopped.
