Hi, there 's no doubt that The IBTC mutual funds are the best funds in the country at the moment. When searching for the right fund managers, You have to consider security before returns. Ther IBTC Equity Funds have an average returns of 57.7% since 1997 and IBTC is a world class Financial Institution with a capital base of over 35Billion Naira. (your money is secured)
You Wanna Invest wisely? THINK IBTC.
Believe me, cos i work there.

There are 4 mutual funds that PFAs can invest in: FSDH Coral Growth Fund, IBTC Equity Fund, ARM Discovery Fund and Fidelity Fund. The reason why these 4 have been approved is that they are all over 3 years old. In the last year there have been several funds that have been introduced to the market by various financial institutions. I have my funds in the FSDH Coral Growth Fund and the yields have been very good and consistent over the last 5 years. So for anyone who wants to invest I will advise that you invest in this fund, www.fsdhgroup.com.

Better still, for those keen on investing in the FSDH Coral Growth Fund call the help desk, 270-4884/5 or contact coralfunds@fsdhgroup.com
I assure you it is a good fund, minimum investment is Fifty Thousand Naira.

well talk,

security matters in investments true, but also remember that it is not only IBTC that is large, ARM is 12 years old in biz(1995) . The reason behind the rate of return on IBTC equity fund is becuase of its exposure to equities likewise AGI, it has almost 100% of the total funds invested in equities and that makes it risky as well so as you sell the returns, also sell the risk involved so that your investors will know what they are going into. it all depends on the bench mark which is the All Share Index therefore a direct relationship exists btw the capital market and every equity growth fund.

Yeah joy thanks for the enlightenment,
i think ur right by giving us more insight on the ARM funds & IBTC , they r the best means of diversification in the investment world.

But we should Know that when u buy a unit for N100 and its now worth N307, whao u can t compromise that for a whooping 200% return. imagine if u had put in a N500k then now u r strictly a millionaire , u worth N1.5m this is not by chance its real.

pls pple investment in the ARM Aggressive Growth Investment.

@everyone,

How does one know the individual stocks (and others) that the mutual funds are invested in ? Can this be found online ?
Re: Best Nigerian Mutual Funds To Invest In? by nino213(m): 1:24am On May 29, 2007
mutual funds are just funds for people who scared to venture out and take risks.they quarantee your safety.why don't u invest in shares for start up copmanies or those on the emerging markets like cutix,adswtich and triplegee.invest in those areas or interests that u like so much.i am investing in computers,banks,real estate and many more.if u want to get rich in a year with maybe 5000 t0 10000 naira,invest in start up companies.invest for one year and sell ur shares.remember all big and established companies started small.call me on 08037667755 or send an email to nino2132003@yahoo.com.

Re: Best Nigerian Mutual Funds To Invest In? by cheexy: 11:50pm On Jul 03, 2007
Hi All,
I heard that Skye bak is starting an REIT(Real Estate Investment Trust) fund and i want to know if it is a good idea. They say it will be listed on the exchange and investors will get 80% dividend if they don't pull out in a year. Its offer price is 100 naira and the minimum is 100,000.I am kinda interested cos they will invest strictly in real estate and it will give me a chance to diversify a bit. However, i want to be sure that i am not making a mistake. Any useful insider info will be appreciated.

@all,

can somebody enlighten me about first bank heritage fund@100 naira how viable,any chance of reasonable growth.
Re: Best Nigerian Mutual Funds To Invest In? by walcolm(m): 4:24pm On Dec 14, 2007
first bank heritage fund is an open ended mutual fund that gives returns to unit holders via capital appreciation & cash distribution. you can get in and get out at any time (but you must stay in for at least 6 months after your purchase). the N100 value is just the starting value, they could have started with N1, or N20 etc

it can help u diversify your investment portfolio so that everything is not just in stocks or real estate or bank savings
Re: Best Nigerian Mutual Funds To Invest In? by walcolm(m): 4:26pm On Dec 14, 2007
adexo:

does gtb run it`s own mutual fund

no, GTB does not run a mutual fund yet. they were party to kick starting the ARM discovery but after sometime, they opted out of the ownership and ARM is now stand alone

kayusfemo:

Thanks

mutual funds are created by fund managers to help people who dont want to or who dont have the time to manage their own investments. mutual funds are a pool of funds from many people that is invested according to a pre-determined investment philosophy and plan.

ordinary shares represent the minimum units of ownership in companies. mutual funds invest in ordinary shares and other investment types
