So the state government can't provide a fire service to quench the fire outburst. This is height of insensitivity on their part

Anambra State govt needs to sit up

This is what happen when you are so concerned about how yoruba run their government and their lands while you desert yours. That is their biggest city without no active firefighter. Fire conviniently razed the city for good 5 hours.

Firefighters had to come all the way from Asaba not Enugu, not Imo.

I hope you ibos learn someday. And if you like, refuse to learn and continue concerning yourself with Yoruba affairs while your cities burn to ashes. Pathetic lots.

Imbecilic reasoning by a tiger clawed, facial scarred, individual from the land of rusty brown zinc roofs.

Nigeria tax system operates PAYE(Pay As You Earn).Tax doesn’t apply to Jobless people, and a better majority of the citizens are jobless. The ones that have jobs or are doing profitable business always PAY THEIR TAX. The Solution is to create more jobs and not to increase taxation on people earning nothing.
PoliticalWitch:

Well, he should...but if he wanted to do his job...he would have to start charging taxes like they do in Lagos.

Lagos has a very good emergency response system, partly because they really charged taxes(to the point that tax adverts were all over the place).

Any Nigerian governor , regardless of party, who tries that is going to get driven out of office. After all, we are poor. Yet the truth is, poverty or no poverty, if we want good enough fire services, we have to pay the type of tax that would fund it, especially as oil price is to low for us to sustain such services.

And another thing, when people build things in this country, they don't take fire safety seriously. What is the Market management doing about fire safety? (Nothing , most likely).

Federal fire service could work anywhere across the nation. Federal fire service in Delta State could be called upon to handle this as thiers is a federal job not just a state thing.

Problem is, they seem invisible. (No where to be found).
The writing on the truck reads 'Delta State Fire Service' (with the Delta state logo). This is a state affair and not a federal fire service. The Anambra state government is a failure, no mincing words.

I hate to say this but this is what propaganda is capable of. You know full well that your government is ineffective but you never stopped assigning tasks to social media warriors to paint your government good and make it look like you're working when you aren't.

It is a huge shame of Obiano and Anambra state as a whole that a fire team from Delta state crossed the Niger bridge all the way from Asaba just so they could put out fire.

Ironically, media touts will forget this tomorrow and focus on the affairs of Lagos and states that don't have any effect of them. Such a let down!
Why are you trabalising the issue. What has lagos got to do with Anambra affairs

This is the time to review the procedures of awarding HGV drivers licence to those that don't have an atom of common sense. Most of the drivers in Nigeria suicidal terrorists waiting to leash out at any time. Especially those nomads that drive Dangote trucks.

Oyinbo made vehicles are dangerous weapons, and until we understand how they work mentally, such disasters will continue to happen even more frequently with the increase in traffic congestion and more death trap roads.

We love miracle, just like the fvking senate presithief, that is why we don't people or plan as a people. Living like that is a fast track to extinction.

Tribalizing? I only politicized it and not tribalized. I don't do subtle tribalism. Point is, the Lagos lust and affairs of what does not concern most on the forum seems to be their primary concern. There are so many sobriquets I have been dying to see on this thread but they seem to have vanished into thin air.

Publish something on Lagos and Tinubu and see them convulse like the same is responsible for the ill-luck and underdevelopment of their states. If we hold OUR OWN responsible for mishaps, Obiano wouldn't have greatly thrived using propaganda.
