Is Nigeria a sane country? That picture depicts exactly what is going on in Naija.

If you live or even visit a sane countries where things are working to a reasonable level, you will weep for Nigeria. Imagine, They are planning to spend $36b to renovate HOA in Abuja.

I was in a flight to MMA, the pilot had not stopped the engine, believe me, the passengers had started fighting each other because of a pair of jeans that was misplaced. I was like, these are guys coming from western world. I studied in a sane country for years without my light went off for once. These are countries with almost nothing other than tax payers' money.

The air blowing in Nigeria is cursed. Go check under 18 yrs old children dressing as prisoners claiming they were going to Marlianfest. I just don't know how and when Nigeria will be fixed. Who will rise against criminals at the helm of affairs in Nigeria? Even the youth corpers that need to empower themselves at camps and take things back from the old folks are also dancing soapy at orientation camp.

I feel like I need to believe this.

You will be very wise to believe the plans as itemized by PMB in the broadcast irrespective of the vitriol from the usual hatefuls on this thread.

One of the most hated men in Singapore in the 60s to 70s was prime minister Lee Kuan Yew yet he transformed that country into one of the world's richest. He was declared a tyrant by the opposition, the press & the so-called international community. Today, he is a celebrated hero.

Nigeria is on the right part, in most instances.

From this January on, We will be earning far more from our Oil & Gas JVs plus we will receive the backlog of outstandings from the majors all due to PMB's political will to enforce an agreement that should have been enforced many years ago but ignored by previous admins.

From 2020, Nigeria is poised to become Africa's leading exporter of Rice, Peanuts, Yams, agrochemicals etc. All of these are agro items for which we were net importers only a few years back. Nigeria is also increasing her agro-processing capacity across board. In the near future, we could be major world leaders in these items.

The FG has agreed contstruction of 2 new sea ports in PH and Warri with 1 of them to be a deep sea port. Construction will commence in 2020 with total cost of $1.6B. Lagos' deep sea port at Lekki is currently under construction and is expected to be commissioned later this year.

The govt plan to refurbish and standardize 22 airports across the nation is ongoing. Abuja, Kano etc. are done. Enugu is due for April 2020 with others to follow.

FG, in line with the multiple deals signed with China, are investing heavily in improving Nigeria's rail network. Abuja-Kaduna is done with plans to extend it to Kano. Lagos-Ibadan is at the finishing stage with plans to extend to Ilorin and forward to Kano. Itakpe-Warri standardization is good now with plans to extend to Ajaokuta and onward to Abuja. The East-West railway line to link Lagos to Calabar, passing through 9 states, is currently being jostled for between Russia & China. According to our Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, that contract shall be awarded this year with project to commence immediately. PH to Maiduguri line is also on the table subject to availability of funds.

FG has been attentive to electricity supply. A deal was signed with Siemens AG as a result of the bilateral meetings between PMB & German Chancellor, Angela Markel, to expand our capacity by additional 25,000MW by 2025!!! Siemens has committed to increase our generation/transmission capacity by 7,000 in 2021, 11,000MW in 2023 and up to the target set for 2025. Is this easy, no? is it achievable, YES and we are on track!

Previously dysfunctional federal agencies & parastatals like Customs, JAMB, FIRS etc. that have been drawbacks on our national budgets for many years, despite huge revenue generated, have become net cash cows recently. NCS (Customs) in particular has been returning over N1Trillion annually to the government purse in the last 3yrs.

As for security, our armed forces are battling hard against all the evil forces arrayed against Nigeria viz; BH, ISWAP, Al Qaeeda, Ansar etc. We are not alone as every nation across the Sahel are being swarmed by these evil forces. This govt. has increased cooperation with our neighbors to coordinate the efforts against the terrorists. Unfortunately, our neighbors are mostly poor with limited resources compared to us so we have to "manage". Many observers have also questioned the role of France in fighting terror across the Sahel. But it is not getting worse for Nigeria. As we speak, local manufacturers, Proforce & Innoson have increased their capacity to supply Nigeria's hardware needs which has reduced our reliance on the "international community" for the basic battlefield needs.

Nigeria is working and we are on the right part. The journey to success is a slow, painstaking exercise. The naysayers and those who hate the current administration may scream all they want, Nigeria is not falling apart. Dubai's progress commenced around 1969, however, the world didn't notice her until 1990! What Nigeria is building now, may not be so visible just yet but build, we must!
