I'm reposting this because my post was wickedly deleated in the first page...

**********
Way to go! More lawyers should join forces and challenge the madness going on in the name of one Nigeria.
A constitution that says one thing and govt institution habours and say another thing is that one a constitution?
The arabic translation of the one in Nigerian army logo (Victory belong to Allah) is even more disturbing. What is ''Victory belong to Allah'' doing in Nigerian army emblem in a secular Nigeria? And we wonder why the killing of Christians in Nigeria is on the increase. Maybe secularism means Islam in Nigeria.

Arabic and Islamic symbols in govt institutions is part of Amadu bello's legacy of northernization (Islamization) of Nigeria until the koran reached the Atlantic ocean.
If the Islamist want a country bounded by islam, arabic, and sharia law, they're free to form their own Islamic Republic. No sane human being anywhere in the world will want to share the same country with bloody islamic extremist.
One Nigeria is an Islamic project. They only way to secure lives and properties is outright disintegration.
As long as we're yorked together with these northern islamist extremist, we will never know peace.

Even if it is Quran verse, let them put it in English language so, that people would understand it. what's the need of an inscription on a symbol of nationhood that majority of the population won't understand?

This is a courageous and good move, as it will draw attention to all other unlawful practices in this deceitful contraption called Nigeria, who has out lived her lifespan. Since she has refused to die a natural and glorious death, her death would be forceful and sudden for countries hungry for development, while upholding the principles of justice, equity and moral to emerge.

English is our official language

But, some beliefs in Nigeria don't call their God God because, they don't believe in God. So, they have their own ways and how they calls whatever they believed in. Their opinions and views should be respected too.

It is there. Check well at the bottom of 200 and 500 notes etc.

It is not there. What's there is Hausa alphabets just as we are using English alphabet for Yoruba and others.

They have been doing that before Nigeria was colonised and that's what larger percent of them know how to communicate with.

this is clarification seeking and not attention seeking, it is specifically written in our constitution that English is our official language. To put Arabic inscriptions on our currency when the constitution doesn't recognize such needs clarification, wouldn't you agree?

First, the constitution does nor specify any language as official language.
Secondly, the fool is attributing Arabic with Islam. There are Christians who read their bible in Arabic. There are more muslims in Israel than are in Palestine. There are more Christians in Palestine than are in Israel and Arabic is their language including their Bible.
The Muslims should seek to change the whole constitution from judeo Christian laws to Sharia laws. Change weekend from Saturday and Sunday to Thursday and Fridays. Many many aspects of Nigerian laws are based on Judeo Christian beliefs and laws by the British, the time has come to change all those laws to Muslim way of life.
The level of hypocrisy on the part of Christians in Nigeria is simply astonishing.

God is not only for the Christians. Even Muslims use the word 'God' and you should learn how to separate Islam from Arabic. Most things Nigeria Muslims do are purely Arabic culture that has little or nothing to do with Islam. some their dressings. And I'm not totally against this but I only react when people try to impose it as been Islam. Same goes to Roman Catholic church in Nigeria although they're changing little by little.
The point is even that the meaning of the said inscription is in Hausa language but in Arabic writing

Because of the the uneducated population in English alphabetical text but who could read the Arabic text from Islamic knowledge of the text

Eg 500 Náírà written in Hausa language but with Arabic text or lettering as you may want to call it

sad Even though I'm a born again Christian, i see nothing wrong in having Arabic inscriptions on our naira notes or national monuments. We Christians should be glad about it as it avails us the opportunity to study the Arabic language and we can also preach the gospel of our lord Jesus in Arabic language whenever we travel to the middle east. It's a win win for we Christians because before we realize, we would have won more souls for christ or we might decide to join Islam if we are tired of Christianity. Arabic language is a blessing in disguise sad
It'd have been better if you're an atheist but no cheesycheesy

A Nigerian lawyer and Human Rights activist Barr. Malcolm Omirhobo has Thursday sued the Federal Government, Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Army, Ministry of Defense and Attorney General of the Federation over the continuous Arabic inscription on the naira notes and the flag of the Nigerian Army without considering Nigeria to be a secular nation.

He is seeking a Federal High Court to interpret the provisions of Section 10 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He filed two suits.

The defendants in the suits are Central Bank of Nigeria, Attorney-General of the Federation, the Nigerian Army, as well as the Ministry of Defence.

Plaintiff is seeking a court interpretation whether by a community reading of Sections 10 and 55 of the 1999 Constitution, it is lawful and constitutional for the defendants to permit the Naira notes to be adorned with Arabic inscriptions.

In the same vein, the plaintiff is asking whether by a community reading of Sections 1(1)(3), 10 and 55 of the 1999 Constitution, it is proper for the defendants to permit the Nigerian Army logo to be adorned, or inscribed in Arabic insignia.

He is seeking a court interpretation whether by the true letter and spirit of Section 10 of the 1999 Constitution, Nigeria is a secular state without any official religion.

He wants the court to declare that it is  illegal, unlawful, and unconstitutional to allow the Nigerian Army logo to be adorned, and inscribed in Arabic language, instead of the official English language or Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo which are the three main languages or ethnic groups in Nigeria.

The defendants are yet to reply. The Court also is yet to fix a date for the hearing of the case.

Taqiyya (Lying and Deception) is Islam's number one weapon in Jihad. They are permited to lie for the cause and advancement of islam. Taqiyya was the principal tool muslims used to take over non muslim territories like Turkey.
Swearing in a lie is nothing to them as long as it is for the advancement of Islam.
