[[s]quote author=Arrewa post=86033029]As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, i think this amoketun issue is being hypocritically blown out of proportion to expand hatred for other tribes especially the Fulanis. Why must we Christians be the brain behind the vast support for Amotekun when the Nigerian constitution is clear about the roles of the armed forces and police in the security of the country? Why must we form an ethnic militia to target fellow Nigerians when the constitution guarantees freedom of movement and doing business nationwide as long as we are Nigerians? What we fail to realize is that the south east cheering on Amotekun sees its as a synonym for their biafra agitations and they will rather support anything that will disband the relative peace and unity of Nigeria. The IPOB sympathizers will be the one to cry wolf when Amotekun starts targeting their tribesmen who commits various crimes in the south west. MURIC recently condemned the killing of a CAN pastor and sympathized with we Christians, how many Christians will condemn the killing of an imam or Muslims? Instead we rejoice when tragedy strikes them forgetting we are all humans before religion. Instead of emulating our Muslim brothers who have remained silent on this issue of Amotekun, we Christians are disturbing the cyberspace with hypocritical comments. Amotekun will never see the light of the day as long as we remain one Nigeria. It's a bad policy and a tribalistic security outfit aimed at persecuting other Nigerians. The main reason why this abokis don't want amotekun is simple
If this Western regional police scales through
Definitely eastern own will come next
And trust Igbo we no they rapon with their useless Nigeria police
They won't be able to suppress us with their northern police in disguise as Nigeria police

I read the above malnourished crap with sense of apprehension. However when I came across the bolded, it struck me funny and reinforced my belief that most Nigerians are composition of insincerity. The word Nigeria denotes insincerity yet this messenger of falsity wants us to believe otherwise. As for the threat of another war in Nigeria, Juniad Muhammed has shown the intellect of a monkey. Why talk of war if certain sections of the country have demonstrated the willingness to disassociate from the shithole called Nigeria? If the northern region thinks the southwestern region is preparing to leave the union, the northern political elites should encourage them to do so with all forms of peaceful appendages. There were no places either in Quran or Bible that stated Nigeria should be created. Nigeria remains a blunder of British and I do not see anything wrong if the people who had been deceitfully lumped together decide to untangle.
Problem is Nigeria will remain United. It has survive all manner of conspiracy to dismember it since 1999. Does who push the balkanization agenda themselves are surprise that we still exist as a single entity. Don't wait it may never happen. If it does no section of this country will benefit. Why? Because the balkanizers are not working to benefit anybody but themselves

I see a lot of Tribal War spark in the air already and it's the usual clowns that will not read History that start the conflagration.

The truth is that, Col Ojukwu actually released Awo from Calabar Prison and Awo had made a stop over in Enugu to thank Him and they had a little discussion about the Igbo Sessesion at the time and how both nations (Igbo and Yoruba) could benefit from the sesseion.

Awo's reception by Gowon in Lagos was also a political move to secure the yoruba Nation's support and it Probably paid-off. Had Ojukwu and Awo agreed on the Sessesion strategy or Terms of Reference,Issues might have been different.

The main reasons both men did not align in my opinion were:
1. Cultural/Strategic difference as Awo could not have committed the Yorbas without due Consultation...and the question of "what's in it for us".
2. Lack of trust between both Nations (Igbo + Yoruba) and that is something we still see in the larger society and on NL Thread till date.

Was that not how north east region gave Boko Haram all the support, motivation and encouragement when they started their atrocity because it was earlier targeted at eliminating Christians? So we should allow them to continue seeing that miscreants are working in harmony with federal might and police, army etc combined cannot tackle them and if any arrest is made, a call from Abuja will set such accuse free. Even if yoruba man do evil I support amotekun to deal with such

Juniad should shut up

The north can play politics with Boko Haram and billions of Naira is taken from us to develop your lands right? Why we Southwest can’t set up a community policing to wade off criminals?

Go and warn your people that the Southwest won’t tolerate any notoriety either from the Fulani herdsmen, Igbos or any of our neighbors taking our hospitality for granted!!

Gbe enu e soun, face fulani and leave ipob or so called neighbors alone. Which other neighbor is giving you trouble? This is why one south is difficult to work, with mindsets like yours.
You started well but ended on a very sour note. Repent, and smell the coffee the fulani's are serving you.

If its amotekun, then am gladly in support of it.. Am sure igbos are in support too.
how did you manage to see tribality in this, juniad said nigeria is a federation, igbos dont make up even half of the south east, they are many other peoples who are not minority inside this nigeria. stop seeing tribe everywhere.
Re: Amotekun: Juniad Mohammed Warns Of Imminent Civil War by Nobody: 12:42am On Jan 24, 2020
juniad is not wrong, he is calling for caution. we all know the criminals in nigeria are not the boys on the streets, its the men in offices, you are giving the same men, right to ammunition and basically a personal police now. While the thought of enhanced secutity is a very good one, which we agree should happen, these men are not trustworthy, they have not demonstrated they are reliable. Juniad is worried that in granting a genuine request, like everythingelse in the country, it will be quickly corrupted. i think they needs to be a check in place, for starters, they should remove those lights on the vehicle for now, they should not be allowed to make arrests, unless submitted to the employed police, they should not enforce traffic or any civil rights rules, only criminal offences. they can start from there and see if it is genuine.
