Why Must All The Rules And Regulations In Africa Centre Around Women?? by lavylilly: 8:47am On Jan 27, 2020
The other day I got so bored that I decided to take a stroll out in the evening, went to a sit out, got my juice and was slowly sipping while shaking my head to the music playing, quitely enjoying myself and the environment I was in.

This two guys walked up to me and asked if they could sit down with me, I said yes, after they must have gotten comfortable, they asked why I was all alone there, I told them I felt like being there, the next question I heard was " how much for the night"!!

At first I was surprised but when I eventually cleared the air that am not there on a business basis, they started advising me that it's not proper for a lady to go to a sit out alone, that even if I need something from one, I should get it and go back home
That it sends a wrong signal to who ever gets to see me there

Now my question is, are they right??
Why must all the rules and regulations in Africa centre around women??
Am still thinking about it

Mama Africa is our Motherland. They are the homemakers. Women make the world go round. Not just Africa alone.

Dress the way you want to be addressed. You can't dress like an olosho and sit in a bar alone and expect men not to ask you such question.
No sane man will ask a well dressed lady in a bar how much for a night.

Shalom.

Yes, they are right. Women are supposed to take care of the home.

The proper question is why everything about Africa mentality is centered around sex

I will answer this like NwaAmaikpe.

Any woman seen without a man is very much available.
You going out to enjoy yourself all alone shows you are up to something.
Any sane man who sees a lady out without a man knows she's very much approachable and will make his move. It will be stupid to approach a lady with a man by her side whether brother or cousin as you ladies like to put it.

You don't want such embarrassment go out with your brother or cousin or better still tell them the price you charge per night. That's business right there.

dress the way you want to be addressed. You can't dress like a yahoo boy and be driving a car and expect sars not to rough handle you. No sane sars will beat up a man dressed in suit in a car.

Yeah, that's because Africans are still very conservative and backward people who think that all a woman is good for is sex.

But to be frank, the men walked up to you cos you were probably in the wrong place, and wrong places tend to attract the wrong types of people. If you had gone to a regular eatery, no sane man could have asked you such an insane question.

No. Men should be responsible for the needs of their wives and children
