I was watching a 60 Minutes special on Brazil last night and I was impressed with that country. In my honest opinion, I feel Nigerians could learn a lot from Brazil in the form of governance and industrilization.

Can you share your thoughts?

Shouldn't you start things off by saying what you liked from the documentary?

Anyway, for me, I love how Brazil wants to do things themselves. Car manufacturing, aerospace, oil exploration, biosciences, agriculture. . . there is almost nothing that they do not produce. Unlike Nigeria, which imports everything angry

If I am discussing good governance and industrialization, then that is what I liked about the documentary. Am I correct? lol

Did you see the 60 Minutes segment on Brazil? They are building an impressive economy. And their outgoing president, Lula did great things. The fact that he was a socialist and a union leader before he was president is quite impressive as well. He has a 75% approval rating leaving office. This is quite amazing for a head of state. Like he said, it took a socialist to fix Brazil. Maybe Nigeria needs a socialist to fix that country.

Plenty of our brothers there, in Sao Paulo and Rio. I was in Recife and was told there was a Nigerian guy there called Dollar because he was big and strong like the US currency. I know a Ghanian guy in Salvador (DJ Georgie) who jumped ship in Accra hoping to get to the States and ended up in Brazil. Been there ever since, with family and kids now.

They have proper roads, electricity and more, all the basics are in place, so growth can occur, with us, we are too busy parroting about how big and proud we are without delivering the necessities of life to our people.

In terms of technology, innovation and R and D they have been pushing ahead for the last 40 yrs. They even developed a petrol alternative (ethanol) in the 70's before the US petrol multinationals paid bribe to phase it out. Now everyone is green, it is back on the forecourts.

On the downside,
Plenty violence there too, that is where we have plenty of things in common,

On the upside
, their babes dun reach better level than ours (in looks and personality). Muito energia tambem na cama, nossa!
