And Europeans too. It's in the blood of all humans naturally and death sentence won't stop it. Yes it won't. Ever heard of solitary confinement, make them give you life imprisonment in solitary confinement first na when you go see the result.

His opening statements makes me remember that old f00ls were once young f00ls. Nigerian politicians are not as corrupt as the Russians,Chinese or even the Almighty American politicians but here someone who is supposedly educated is saying its in the blood of Nigerians. We like taking the wrong approach to everything. Why not focus on the tackling and eliminating causes rather than its effect Get to the root no matter how long it will take and be sure of progress instead of beating about the tree leaves decade after decades and achieving nothing.. Pls these old generations should die off so that we can begin to make real progress because they are a very large part of the problems of the nation today. Nonsense angry
Nigerians are worse than those you mentioned except for Russians and Italians (how can you forget the Italians).

Rubbish talk...it is because all the big men like you , politicians & even the so called judges in Nigeria are afraid for themselves and their Children, that's why they have refuse to make corruption a penalty death sentence.....Lets try and see...When this same Buhari made a decree of death in 1980s against drug trafficking and the first 3-culprits were executed...Did anyone know much or hear about drug trafficking again in Nigeria like you hear of armed robbery?...So, let stop deceiving ourselves....we all know the truth that only death penalty can stop the evil of corruption in our land...QED

The former Governor of Illinois state , Rod Blagojevich got 14years for trying to sell the vacant senate seat of Obama when he bacame the US President.. He didnt collect money oooooo.. But he had conversations with people and he was strategizing on how to sell the vacant seat.. In Naija, people collect money and some steal money through fake contract.. The minimum jail time in Naija for corruption should be 25years.

Death Penalty for Corruption in Nigeria

Not a few Nigerians have, at different times, come up with the idea that capital punishment is the one and only solution to the seemingly intractable problem of corruption in Nigeria. The position of advocates of death penalty for corrupt officials must have been informed by the belief that the prospect of a humiliating death will always serve as sufficient disincentive to corrupt practices. Some members of the ongoing National Conference who share the view that a serious problem calls for a drastic response have lent their support to this hard line stance because they see corruption as the main cog in the wheel of Nigeria's progress

Theres nothing in the blood of anybody, it is mind and societal conditioning. We have conditioned our minds and society that the only way to achieve anything or make it is through corruption.

Our systems and examples of successful people in society are now corrupt people, specifically politicians not even business men.

Corrupt politicians who are now the major examples the youths look up to was what inspired/created yahoo.

It was never like this b4, it is a SOCIETAL DECAY of Corruption and InDiscipline brought about single handedly by our stupid politicians only.

Death sentence on certain amount levels of corruption and lengthy prisons sentences will go along way to deter corruption in governance which has destroyed this country.
so true when Nigeria eventually has an effective Justice system, nobody will want to break the law when you know the punishment for such actions, the problem with this nation is that there are no consequences for wrong actions, nobody give an account of anything the police officer who abuse citizens do so because there is no consequence for wrong actions, same with the politicians,we talk about police frequent accidental discharge against civilians but how many times have this same officers accidentally discharged bullet on the children of the politicians which they provide additional security for.

Saying that "Death sentence won’t stop corruption because it’s in the blood of Nigerians, is a very dangerous statement from Robert Clarke
Here, Robert Clarke is trying to discourage you to fight corruption and make corruption appear as something normal that should be
accepted by the mass. It make it seem like corruption is "not a big deal"

Implement death sentence and watch corruption go into oblivion in Nigeria, the people that will work with the anti graft agency to fish out corrupt people should be no nonsense people like those that have been to the brink of death, like war-proven military men specially trained to carry out the death sentence.

Nothing Nigerians fear pass in this life than death, I know no Nigerian is going to catch coronavirus grin

The system made us this bad. meet Nigerians in saner climes and watch them succeed legally. The naija system is so messed up. everyone has learnt that no one is for anyone.. we learnt that there are few people you can turn to for help and opportunity, we become greedy when entrusted with fortune for the fear of poverty.. the poor are trying to elevate themselves from it while the rich are dead scared of returning to it.

Please who made the naija system what it is if not the people of Nigeria- 200 million of us
