Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has always reiterated on Radio Biafra that the British know who we are (We are the light of Africa) hence the reason why they are refusing to let us go.

The Flag of Nigeria between 1914 and 1960 was a British blue ensign with a green Star of David surrounding a Tudor Crown (later changed to a St Edward's Crown in 1953)[1] with the white word "Nigeria" under it on a red disc. It was adopted by the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria following the amalgamation of the Southern Nigeria Protectorate and Northern Nigeria Protectorate.

History

The colonial flag of Nigeria was adopted in 1914 following the amalgamation of Southern Nigeria and Northern Nigeria. It was first suggested by the first Governor-General of Nigeria, Sir Frederick Lugard as a symbol of the unification of Nigeria and because of the Seal of Solomon which was associated with the native Igbo Jews.[2] The Star of David had already been in use in Nigeria during the British rule because of the Igbo Jews who were featured on coins of the British West African pound.[3] This was confirmed in the 1917 discovery of a bronze Star of David attributed to the Igbo Jews in Aguleri.[4] The crest on the flag was also used on the flag of the Governor-General of Nigeria.[5]

Flag of the Governor-General of Nigeria

The flag was not universally accepted. Some native Nigerians, including Fela Kuti, refused to salute the flag despite it being mandated in schools.[2] In 1956, some Nigerian Muslims burned the Nigerian blue ensign at Mecca, Saudi Arabia, because of the Jewish Star of David on it.[4][5] In 1959, prior to Nigerian Independence a competition to design a new flag was held with Taiwo Akinkunmi designing the new flag of Nigeria which replaced blue ensign in 1960.[6]

Igbo Men Have No Known ‘Jewish DNA,’ Controversial Test Shows

Among the Igbo, one of Nigeria’s largest ethnic groups, there is widespread identification with Jews, and many see themselves as descendants of the biblical Israelites.

But a recent test to determine if a group of Igbo men share genetic material with Jews is back — and no connection was found.

Even before the results were known, the test was the source of heated debate among the Igbo. Now activists are decrying the enterprise, and the missionary American group that carried it out, as illegitimate.

“Our purpose for providing this DNA testing… was to assist them in their pursuit of truth concerning their historical lineage and identity,” Jonathan Bernis, head of Jewish Voice Ministries International, wrote in an email to the Forward. The DNA test results “did not support their claim to be descendants of the ancient people of Israel… [but] we consider them our brothers through our common faith in the Messiah Yeshua.”

Jewish Voice Ministries International is a Messianic missionary organization that appeals to “lost tribes of Israel” and people with Jewish heritage around the world to spread the message of “Messianic Judaism and the Jewish roots” of Christianity.

The Forward first reported on the initiative early this year, when the group carried out the test in collaboration with a local religious group called Redeemed Israel Community of Nigeria. Together, they gathering some 120 saliva samples of community members and the tests were carried out using kits from Family Tree DNA, a Texas-based company that sells genealogical analyses, including a focus on Jewish heritage.

The genetic test had been the source of fierce debate among Igbo members, some of whom questioned Jewish Voice’s ability to successfully carry out such a test and whether such a test would serve or hurt their cause.

“There is no DNA test for ‘Jewishness,’” Igbo lawyer and author Remy Ilona wrote in a lengthy Times of Israel blog post, which outlined his objections both to the group and what he sees as their faulty methods. Ilona has written a series of books promoting the thesis that Igbos are genealogical Israelites.

Onwukwe Alaezi, an author who first supported the effort, decried the Messianic group as saboteurs who came only to delegitimize the Igbo. “Whether the white fake Jews want it or not,” he wrote in a Facebook post. “Igbo are Jews.”

You people do not read or research.

THAT IS YOUR ISSUE.

Tell me. Against whose DNA was Igbo DNA being compared?

The CURRENT Israel population?

But THEIR ANCESTORS were not ancient Israelites.

These are descendants of Europeans from Russia, Eastern Europe and placed like Germany and Norway!

Their ancestors adopted Judaism by faith around the 11th century, long after the original Jews had been dispersed following the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 AD.

It is estimated that over 1 million Jews fled into Africa following the Roman invasion.

That figure would have multiplied to at least half a billion people today - half or more of the African continent today could comprise descendants of those fleeing Jews.

There is biblical support for this position, where Yahweh predicts that..

Zephania 3:10

''From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.''

From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia (ie The Nile) standing in Israal, means WEST AND CENTRAL AFRICA.

The same regions from which slaves were to be later sent to the New World and Arab lands, as prophesied would befall the children of Israel, in Deuteronomy 28.

Also, there are clear biblical references to the similarity of the ancient Israelites to black Africans:

Amos 9:7 ''Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD''

Lamentions 5:10

''Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.''

White people do not turn black like an oven when they suffer famine.

But we do.

Conclusion: The ancient Israelites, like the ancient Egyptians and Nubians, are our ancestors.

Also, Igbos may have large concentrations of Jewish blood, but it's a blood that runs right across ALL the ethnic groups of West Africa.
