The greatest mistake I made then is getting carried away in my first year in school. I couldn't gather enough points to reach my targeted grade. So from 200l to the end I could only try not to drop.......

GOING TO A UNIVERSITY IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS A MISTAKE
FALLACY
the mistakes are:
1.Studying some courses in Nigeria(Biochemistry,Microbiology,Criminology etc)
2.Studying only Your course without learning additional skills
3.Studying without connection into labour market
Infact, studying in Nigeria is a mistake.

All these doesn't affect everyone though. Some studied Adult education and they don't regret it.

So, going to university is not a mistake. It depends on how you make the most out of it.No certificate is useless

Now the greatest mistake is not knowing your academic standing.
Some people will club, party, drink, not attend lectures regularly and will still be on a first class.Whereas, for you,you may need 100% level of seriousness to achieve First Class. If you compare yourself with the clubber......na OYO

Also, not being social is a mistake. You need to build networks of good people around you.Things will be easier for you both in school and when you graduate.Needing something and being able to say "I have sam there, he should be able to help me get it" is a good thing. Just don't rely on and trust people too much. Also, engage in extra curricular activities.Play soccer, basketball, learn to play musical instruments, volunteer, engage in competitions (Do these only if you have a good academic standing)

In addition, work not only hard but smart. If you see Expo, grab it(wisely oh).Let your lecturers know you for good.Move with brilliant chaps. In exam, don't cover your scripts and don't hesitate to get help too(dont get caught!).Be damn close to your profs, them get wahala o but try to be really close to them even if you're not a class rep. These are the same lecturers you'll run to for help, same lecturers that won't want to fail you and help you add marks(some get chin chin for head sha)

Lastly, dont plan to settle in naija.Start your abroad connection now.Start greeting that uncle in US, start greeting that Aunty in Canada.Try to hustle so you can japa on your own if any of them fail. This country is worsening day by day.You won't know until you travel out and see how things are overseas.
In naija, first class graduate still dey find job.Overseas, job plenty as long as you dey ready to work.Get that dough or connection and leave Nigeria for good(You can invest in Nigeria anyway)

That's just my 2 million for you.

In the University?
Can I call it mistake sha?

Well, before I gained addmisson I told my self that I want to graduate with 1st class.

1st semester 100l I had 5.0, 2nd semester it dropped to 4.96.

200l 1st semester it dropped to 4.90, 2nd semester I had missing script, it pained me, I don't have choice than to re write it.
Since missing script is automatically "f" my cgpa dropped to 4.61.

Since then, the higher the level/semester, the tougher it becomes.

It sha later dropped to below 3.50.

When I was writing my project, I just vex clean the "1st class graduate in Jesus Name, So help me God" commot from the wall. grin
