Only security money given to governors have dwarfed what senators earn.
And they can do with it as they chose.
Ask why it's never disclosed grin

Really, you mean Governors earn more than Senators? Why does Governors go for Senators after finishing their tenures as Governors?

What's the motivation?
Senators also go for governorship. They just want to remain in government to loot and squander

The only senator that may earn more than a governor is the senate president

The governors of Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Lagos and Delta earn and control more money than the senate president.

Have u ppl ever seen a governor who willingly resign to become a senator in nigeriaThe answer is capital NO but we have so many senators who abadoned their seats to become governors.Eg duoye diri of bayelsa state and even Dino melaye who recently contested pdp governorship primaries while still serving as a senator.Even senator Bala Mohammed had to abandon his seat in 2011 just to become FCT minister which is also like a governor.lol

Plus senator Adeleke of Osun

Even in terms of basic salaries, governors earn more than senators, rep, or minister.
Talk about security votes and power over allocations of the whole state plus LGs.

A state has 3 senators, 10 reps, but just a governor.
Ministers are aren’t elected

What's the motivation?

After working as a governor you don't expect them to stay jobless so they contest for senetor ship.

Some even move from senetor to Governor just because of the power..

Governor controls internal revenue, allocation from fedral ,salary ,allowances..

Senetor controls, senetorial district fund, which come only when he want to work in his territory, salary and allowance
