What if you have a relative working with them and he returns home one day to complain about how he was severely beaten by members of the community he went to disconnect their power as they are yet to pay their bills?

How would you feel?

I'll congratulate him that he is alive, next time, he will use his right senses. Most of them now are looking for what to eat, doing illegal works. Most people are still at home, no money, no foods! When people are looking for what to eat, the mumu are asking for electricity fees Beat them undecided

Its possible it happened during lock down, some electricity workers collect bills and pocket it and the only way they can continue getting such is to threaten with disconnection and mind you all the payments they gave been collecting will not reflect in subsequent bills(the reason people pay them us that they charge lesser amount, the unreliability of the electricity and guarantee of not being disconnected. )

@OP, You didn't try at all. This video has been going around for a year if not two,na old video and it has nothing to do with COVID N19 lockdown.

Fake news! IBEDC AND IKEDC ARE NOT DISCONNECTING POWER SUPPLY AT THIS TIME, AS THEY TOO ARE UNDER LOCKDOWN.

Afonja and Agbero, wish they got them arrested and sent to jail. Pay your bills and make the power sector grow. With such behavior how do we improve our electricity supply.
Latter they will be claiming sophistication by calling North back ward yet they are the back ward ones.

The way forward is they should provide us with prepaid meter and stop estimated billings.

Very funny. Those people are very wicked. You forced people to stay at home and still want to cut their light. Besides FG Promised 2 months free light. So who collects the payment.

He's fortune. They didnt do worse.

Very useless company. They are the worst of all discos.

No they are not.

Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) is.

Very useless company that isn't on any bill/cash payment app.

You can only credit your meter by paying "cash" to a prepaid unit distributor.

Once your prepaid units expires on a public holidays or a sunday, you'll have to wait till a non public holiday to get units.

You are mean.

Can you prove that they are doing illegal work? What if they were actually sent by their office to do disconnections on those who are still owing and have refused to pay?

You should channel your frustration on the government instead. They have failed to provide the basic necessities for Nigerians.

Check out the link above and begin to think solar. I have been using solar and has light 24/7 without NEPA for one year now. It is not as expensive as people make it to be. Just start small. My generator has not been used for one year now yet I am using light, watching TV, using washing machine etc for 24/7. And our transformer has spoilt since april2019.
Check on the link above to learn about solar. You can also contact me on 08053169463 by WhatsApp or SMS.
Mind you I don't sell anything, I will only give you advice and guide you on how to go about it. Sellers and installers are on the platform if you want them. But I can guide if you want to DIY, I set up mine myself too after using lots of data to educate myself. Only serious people should make contact please.

Good, it is obvious so many people can't afford to pay this period. Nigerians respect them but this time is not smiling and they should not have decided to cut any light this period.. I don't blame them i blame the wicked government

In as much I don't support the beating, it is very bad to have directed those innocent staff to go out for disconnection in this difficult times.
