Relaxation or Continuation of Lockdown Masses should be very careful at this time. The game has changed. Initially the influential people were serious about the disease, it control and management were handled with all seriousness because they were majorly affected owing to the fact that many of their relations are returnees. Some of their relations were carriers of the disease. Now the game has changed, many if not all of their relations has been tested and the infected ones has been treated. They have learned in a hard way and have keep their families in a strict lockdown even with heavy security for any stubborn one. They have generously stock their homes with all necessary needs for the next six to seven months. Shockingly the masses are now crying for the lockdown to be relaxed. some even staged protest and some are even disapproving the reality of virus.I wish they had done this in time when the government was very reluctant in closing our boarders. The influential people have nothing to loose if the lockdown is to be lifted or relaxed. They will easily succum to any degree of pressure from the masses. But they will never release their families until the traces of the virus has become zero. My advice. Let be careful and patient at this time, let support each other especially those in need. Let take responsibility. And let continue to pray that God heal our land. Let be very careful. My thoughts! 28 Likes 2 Shares |

DanseMacabre: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSab1AX2WxU This is Kano. Can the people in this video say they are on lockdown? They aren't even wearing face masks nor practicing social distancing. Why do these people hate themselves so? The same energy spent on Lagos should pls be spent on Kano- let us prevent a possible Covid earthquake/TSUNAMI |

I noticed that our muslim brothers share plastic kettles to do ablution in their mosque in my estate at FCT. I asked one of the men who came to pray why they are sharing kettles instead of each person coming with his; he answered and said they wash their hands before handling the kettles. I suggested they use soap to wash hands instead of ordinary water but he couldn't take it and was asking me how I handle money from ATM; whether I wash it too. If this is happening among the learned in Abuja, how much more would it in states like Kano? Those kettles at the mosques could serve as a vehicle for the transmission of infectious diseases. Adequate enlightenment on the need to disinfect ones hands before going to the mosques should be encouraged. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Absolutely grim, I was being pessimistic when I said we'll have 2000 cases by friday but look where we are now. Lockdown works, Italy and Spain are reopening again but I don't know how Nigerians can stay in our homes for 7+ weeks and not die of hunger |

Lorazepam: I get your point and it Is just sad we are in this kind of mess,I only feel for the poor masses that would suffer, yes the lockdown is unproductive and I expected the govt to have invested a lot into our testing capacity but we the masses have to ensure we protect our lives also by trying to stay alive too. 1 Like |

SMH I just dnt knw wat to say at dis point. How on dis goddamn earth av we tested just abt 11k people? I mean how do u go into lockdown for 5 weeks and tested jst abt 11000 people out of a population of abt 200m during dat time? Our gvt got no plan whatsoever, jst waiting on the western world to get a vaccine or cure. Massive testing and tracing is key to containing dis disaster as demonstrated by many nations but our govt is too evil to thread dat path despite all d donations and loan it has taken. 4 Likes 1 Share |

this is very serious issue. federal government and state need to do something concerning kano state now or else in more few days/weeks, it may be very bad than the way we expect. |
