However in this country, it seems only one ethnic group is constantly whinning that everybody hate them.

On different occasions they often accuse the following groups of hating them (some say out of envy)

1) The Yorubas (their number-1 object of hate)

2) Hausa-Fulani

3) Ijaws , Ikwerres and the Southern Minority tribes

4) Gen Gowon and the Middle Belt people.

5) Any Nigerian leader disscused on Nairaland e.g Awolowo, Gen Gowon, Gen Danjuma, Gen Murtalar Muhammad, Ken Saro-Wiwa, Isaac Adaka-Boro, Col Victor Banjo, Chief MKO Abiola.

6) Tinubu

7) Buhari

Note: Buhari and Tinubu are in different classes of their own because of the magnitude of hatred they exhibit toward these two Nigerian political leaders.

My brother. In nationalism, MAD( mutually assured destruction), is the best way to secure peace.
Nations only live in peace when everyone knows they are not immune to hate. When they know you are capable of inflicting them 10times more, the pain they intend or plan to inflict on you, they would all respect themselves and peace would reign.
Peace based on love don't exist on international arena. It's Usually MAD.
We should stop expecting love from any group, but instead ensure they all know we are capable of dishing them out whatever they are preparing for us.
It's the way to go.

I'm no longer a man of preacher of love grin

Ok,since Yorubas have proven to be lacking in honor,I have decided to provide the Western region ministerial list.

Notice the minorities were given very few posts and majority of them were mere assistant posts.

Little wonder the Midwest referendum was a success.

Boro fought against the federal government not against the Eastern regional government.

Throwback:

Remind us from which region Isaac Adaka Boro declared an independent NigerDelta Republic?

Why did Adaka Boro get tired of seeing Ijaw oil wealth develop Enugu at the detriment of the minorities where the oil was derived?

Awesome job you're being in this forum. Please under what administration and period did this appointments occur?

pazienza:
More.

Out of the 10 Eastern region provincial commissioners.

Eastern minorities had 5, while Igbos had 5. If you count Ogba people in Rivers who are currently claiming non Igbos as minorities, then minorities would have 6 commissioners, while Ndiigbo had just 4.

Notice that the commissioner for Onitsha province was an Ogba man by name Masi.

And that the one for PH was not an Igbo, Ikwerre or Okirika man.

NCNC picked then according to where they had resided and contributed to the society.
Masi might be an Ogba man, but he was an Onitsha province boy as he lived and grew there, hence why he was made the province commissioner, same with Etta Ogon who was the commissioner for PH province despite being from Ikom. He was a Ph boy.

That's how NCNC ran the East.

This whole thing is mainly the research work of an Etche man, called Chibuzo Ihuoma.

You can check out his blog here.http://www.dedechibublog.com/2019/05/the-ogoni-people-who-never-turned-on.html?m=1

Perhaps you can see other articles you can use to create topics there. The pages on ENDC projects which were mostly concentrated in minorities areas is surely deserving of a full thread topic on nairaland.
He was my friend on facebook, but we didn't get along well because had this anti Nri thing going on, which I didn't like .

I got banned each time I tried to create topics on them.

Op thanks so much, wink my Benin friends father told me stories of how Yorubas treated them like slaves, they cried and many died for mid west region, awolowo dealt with them badly...
Actually no tribe love the Yoruba's,even till date..they hate themselves badly, they killed abiola there brother, afonja conspired with fulanis and killed the then leader of kwara state, the fulani ended up killing him too and took over ilorin, Lagos belongs to the Benin but Yoruba's killed and chased them out,the bight of Benin was taken too, they made sure the minorities were helpless,Fulani's are wicked but wait till Yoruba's dominate Nigeria then you will understand what wickedness means...
Ijaws hate them to poo,Jonathan never trusted them and they proved him right when they backstabed him after promising him there votes...go to Edo and ask questions...any south south man that come out tomorrow for president will get a massive vote from Igbo's,but trust Yoruba's to vote there Fulani masters like in 2015 against the other southerners..
Last election which tribe voted massively for Jonathan,an Ijaw man,it was the Igbo's..Yoruba's are real saboteurs, they kill themselves talk more of an outsider....

Secret why the yorubas are fighting nnamdi kanu and igbos so hard on social media with propaganda is simple because nnamdi kanu have exposed their divide and rule tactice method, yorubas have occupied all the oil companies in the South South, go to Delta, Rivers, akwaibom, bayelsa, Calabar, I.T.C Yorubas are afraid of losing those positions once South South join Biafra, because of this they know they can't fight the igbos physical but to use social media to frustrate the Biafra ideology, many of them have changed their names to Igbo names on social media just to cause problems among South South/southeast, but we are wise. some of them are now claiming we the South South, some are now the mouthpiece of South South.

How does this relate to the misinformation you are trying to propagate that the Yorubas were tyrannical against the non-Yorubas in the Western Region.

Seeking autonomy is part of the longing for freedom inherent in all human societies.

Both the Yorubas and non-Yorubas in the Western Region understood this fact and worked to respect it by working for amicable separation according to the laws.

In the Eastern Region, the Calabar-Ogoja-Rivers Movement (COR) were not so fortunate and tolerated .
They had to wait till 1967 when Gen Gowon created their own States for them.

Brilliant! I was about to reply the OP about the COR Movement and the cry for a separation from the Ibos which the Ibo political and military wings tried to block according to the Ijaw nationalist Chief Harold Dappa Biriye in 1999! This is why Gov Wike named a stadium after General Gowon for creating the old Rivers State in May 1967.

More at Op

Minorities had 9 ministers out of the 26 ministerial posts.
That's more than 1/3 of the ministerial list . Considering they constituted 1/3 of the Eastern population. That was fair enough.
What's now the difference between the premier and governor of Old Eastern Region?
